Buy another Xbox or save for next gen?

i currently have an xbox and ps2 but when i go to school i take the ps2 and leave the box at home. should i get another xbox, minding that i won't have the need for it until i go back to school next fall, or should i just save it for xbox 2 hopefully coming out next winter? also, does FYE or blockbuster credit expire? what would you do in my situation?
 
I'd sell your current box on ebay before everyone gets wind of the nextgen box and save that money for it.
 
why would you need 2 xboxs ever anyway? truck both your ps2 and xbox back and forth between school. when i lived away i'd truck my xbox, ps2, gamecube, and dreamcast.

maybe he has sibblings and has to pick? I know I just took whatever I wanted, since A. I'm the oldest; B. It was mine; C. I wasn't living with either parent at the time I moved away to college... nor am I now.
 
if you have the need for an extra system, buy it...its only $150 (wont put you out of house and home) and you'll still have plenty of time to save up for a new system (we havent even seen pictures or finalized details yet)

i personally have 3 xboxes, and its nice to have extras to use at multiple places like home and school
 
If there's not anything preventing you from taking both I would take both sytems. You never know what you're going to have the urge to play, or what one of your neighbors (I didn't see mention of dorm or not) will bring over to play.
Even if you have to leave the Xbox at home for some reason I wouldn't get another one, unless you have like no games for PS2.
 
If you really need to have more than one, I'd wait until you need it. Prices will probably go down sometime this year--or a better bundle might come out.
 
Or, you could do the logical thing and buy a Gamecube and DS/GBA...
and then a PSP when it comes out.

Anyone who says they can't find ANYTHING they want to play on Gamecube is just a silly fanboy.

He may want to attempt to modify one of them. You can do some cool things with it.

i actually have to leave the box here for my bro. and i used to have a cube and got rid of it (kicking myself after playing RE4 and seeing the new zelda screens). also i'm not a fan of handhelds. i'm kinda leaning towards saving the FYE credit but does it ever expire? the PSP does look tempting though
 
Well, I have a product replacement plan from best buy. I plan on turning my box in when nextgen comes out and using the credit towards the purchase. I guess I'll trade all the games left over.
