Buy.com canceling my PS3 controller order

mattbuc16

CAGiversary!
So I never received my PS3 rumble controller Buy.com had that one day special on for $44.99.

I e-mailed them about it today when I saw it showed "Delivered" to some CA address. Seeing as I live in Houston, this is a prob.

They first replied that it was sent back to the wherehouse. I have no idea why. My address is correct. I never received any notices and I doubt there needed to be one. Honestly, I don't think it was ever even shipped.

They say they're going to give me a refund and are canceling the order.

Ummm, I didn't ask them to do that. I want the darn controller at $44.99 just like my receipt says.

They're telling me that's not a possibility and to order a new one.

WTF????

Any way to contact these bozos other than via e-mail. This is the worst customer service I've received in a LONG time.

I have proof all right. It shows in my account.

I'm getting their replies, btw. Their replies are just ridiculous.

If they refunded your money I would just say screw it and go get one at wal-mart for $5 more. Chances are they are not going to send you a controller if they haven't already.

I think they're $10 more + tax + gas.

Wal-mart sells them for 49.88. Maybe he can stop by while he's doing other things.

Buy.com will cancel orders. I'm pretty sure there's language stating somewhere that they aren't obligated to honor a price. Just like when Walmart goofs up video game prices and cancels everyones orders.

I've only bought from them 2-3 times and that's it. their customer service is horrible and their prices simply suck, hence the $10 google checkout offer.

Just try newegg.com or amazon.

I believe this is true... from some of the things I've read, they don't bother honoring their own prices sometimes even if they were legitimate prices (like actual sales and not price mistakes).

Buy.com is a complete joke. I've ordered from them twice --
the two worst online ordering experiences I've ever experienced. Both took over a month and constant emailing to get resolved, and both times I didn't end up with a product. At least I finally got my money back.

They just sent me an e-mail expressing how the strive for complete satisfaction.

Funny ... because I sent three to four e-mails asking them to honor the price. They sent three telling me, "No, you're getting a refund".

I guess I should be happy I even got that.

Buy.com customer service sucks it.
