I know this has already been posted, but I have the info too along with the rest of the ad. It is mix and match on all PS2, XB, and GC games(NO GBA are part of the sale...I didn't leave them out). This year they are being strict about everything(similar to last years, but they really want stores to follow it now). For TRU employees, the store director should know of the policy but I think it will be in an e-mail or map later. It's not valid on previous purchases, its up to store discretion to limit quantities(no buying 3 of the same title), and if you return a game you can only exchange it for a game that came out before 10/30 or get $33 credit towards another game. Edit - YMMV on all those rules. I'm sure some stores will be nice about exchanging.

TRU is also changing their price match policy. Now you only have 14 days after you buy something to come back to the store with another store's ad and get the price difference. And they are not matching any ads at all for the Thursday-Sunday of Thanksgiving.

Here's the rest of the 10/24 ad:
XB Action Replay $19.99(reg $29.99)
XB Starter Kit $19.99(reg. $29.99)
XB Pro Gamers Bundle $29.99(reg. $59.99)
XB Cyberpad 2 $9.99(reg. $19.99)
PS2 mini wireless controller $29.99(reg. $39.99)
PS2 Starter kit $19.99(reg. $29.99)
GBA SP Ultimate Pack $39.99(Reg. $49.99)
GC G force controller black, orange, purple, or indigo $9.99(reg. $14.99)
And of course the Buy 2 get 1 free deal(which is probably the only one most people will use)

Edit - It is online, too, but it says something like see online for online offer. I know last year it was slightly different online. I think it only let you get 3 $40 games or 3 $50 games and you couldn't mix and match $40 and $50 titles, and it wasn't valid on all titles, only a selection of titles.

If you return an item with a gift receipt, each game will show up as $33 with the gift receipt. Now you may get lucky and they may let you do an even exchange for another game, but they are supposed to either tell you that you only get $33 back since the person bought it as part of a sale(if you want store credit), or they may allow you to trade it for a game that was already released before the sale ended(there's no way you'd get $50 credit back, the best they'd do is let you get another $50 game that came out before 10/30).

Eligible games list now added (ripped from SD and reformatted)
Not sure if this is just for online or what, but here it is:
Thanks for the list.....looks like a lot of people will be disappointed (no GTA:SA)

Also, X-Men Legends is for every system but not on sale for XBOX....hmmmm, wonder if there are flaws in the document.
I was looking at the list and Mortal Kombat for the Xbox is not there either. I'm sure those lists are for the online sale though... right?? In store I could buy GTA:SA and MK right?

Shadow Hearts 2 is also not on the list. Kinda odd. Can't think of a reason it wouldn't be.

Edit: Midway Arcade Treasures 2 for PS2 is also not on the list. Some of the exclusions seem arbitrary, but like CheapyD said, we won't know until it goes live.

My guess is that the list is for the online part of the sale, but we really can't be sure until the deal officially goes online.

Ive been outta commision for awhile and Im wondering... So that list contains the ONLY games we can get B2G1 at the B&M or is list for online only?
Eligible games list now added to OP.
Did the duplicates in the list get cleaned out?

Take a look at the list, and there's about a half dozen dupes in it.

Mav120,

Any chance of scanning the back of the receipt also. There has been a lot of specualtion of the return policy being changed and this would clear it up for a lot of us.

Thanks!

Updated...I think I got 'em.
FYI, this list may turn out to be completely useless...

I guess online you can only by games from the same system in the same price way for the coupon to work. Three $50 GC games or three $30 PS2 games. That sucks.

Also, this has been posted on FW, so expect a line at TRU's across the country Sunday.
Also, this has been posted on FW, so expect a line at TRU's across the country Sunday.
yippie. a "thanks" dripping with sarcasm goes to whoever posted it there.

I seen it on multiple gaming site forums as well (prob 6-8 sites)...

I'mM just curious if their's a code for 59.99 games for PS2/etc. online! I'm assuming DDR Extreme Bundle and Taiko Drum Master would work in store (assuming they get Taiko instore), but does anyone know about online? I know online they are planning on getting Taiko. I REALLY want that game. And since I somehow doubt they'll release another Taiko game in the US (though I hope they do and one with more songs from Namco games and original songs), nor have official controllers sold seperately and I'd consider buying two copies (and selling one of the games for however
much I may get).

Added Edit:
The only way I can access this site is through Bablefish (Altavista translator), because I'm currently at work, and this place isn't work safe. I guess when I reply through Bablefish, everything becomes jibba jabba a little. Sorry.

The online version of this deal get's worst every year. The way it's set up makes it difficult to get the games you are interested in. I probably won't order online because no mix matching between platforms. I'll try my luck in store but I doubt they will have the games I'm interested in.

Actually, its better than it was last year because last year only $40 and $50 games were eligible online.

I could be wrong. It just makes sense that if there are individual coupons for each system and then price within each system you may not be able to mix and match.

I'm going to run up to Media tomorrow evening and try to beat the rush. I hope theystill hyave stuff there. If not I'll try again on Sunday at the local TRU. It'll cost me a little extra in tax to shop in PA but if I can get what I want and not worry about a fifty peoiple waiting outside the TRU Sunday Morning it'll be worth it.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably just go there Sat. after I get the ads and ask if they would price match. The only time I've ever had a problem price matching was from an online store (newegg.com, for KOTOR) so I'll give that a shot. Plus, I can see what they have online. I have a feeling that by the time I get there the games I want (Paper Mario, Burnout 3, mainly) will be sold out. What to do, what to do...
You can try to get Walmart to PM, but I doubt they will. I tried it a couple of years ago when TRU was out of stock on the games I wanted, but they wouldn't do it. I guess it's worth a try though.
damn, I was hoping to get GTA, Outrun 2, and DoA Ultimate next week, none of them are on the list.
That list might only be for the online part of the sale. Try a B&M.

That's what has me worried, that the list is crap, unlike the lists we've built for the CC sales, TRU sales, etc., that it all either snatched from the store or built from the things we've found on our own.

Funny thing about that list is that there's an awful lot of Green Tag games on the list, which makes me think the Green Tag sale on those games now on the B2G1 "list" aren't 50% off anymore. Fatal Frame for the XBox, Fatal Frame II for the PS2, Wallace & Grommit, Gladius, just to name a few.

Take a look at the "list" and compare it to the Green Tag list and you'll see what I'm talking about.

TRU.jpg

It says ANY game right in the ad.

But ANY can still have exclusions. Like chevrolet having $2000 on ANY new car purchase.... excluding the Corvette.

I don't understand why all of you think there is going to be people camped out at TRU!?! This is not that great a sale. Granted it's a good deal and I plan to take advantage of it, but I remember last year I was able to get everything I wanted and there weren't long lines or anything and I wasn't there on the Sunday it started.

On top of that, 2 of the biggest releases of the Fall aside from GTA:SA aren't even going to be part of the sale(MGS 3, Halo 2).

I guess we'll see, but I am not expecting bedlam on Sunday.
Wish we could read the fine print to see if it says anything about exclusions.
It clearly says with caps "ANY" videogame, so they should make available any game for those three systems during the sale... which means that once GTA:SA and any other game coming out on that day could be bought...

It's got smaller text below that. That's what I'm referring to. Just because it says any does not mean there will not be exclusions.

It's been any title for the past 2 years, so I doubt they'd change it now.

Yeah, the store can do WHATEVER it wants. Even if the add says ANY, they have the right to post discalimers. You are lucky that they even have this sale.

I guess it depends on where you live. I just have a bad feeling. My calamari sense is tingling. It may be....

A trap!

TRU is notorious for having low stock when it comes to ad products. I worked there for 3 years and it was always the same, of course that could have just been at the stores around my area. I think TRU has this sale every year in hopes to help clear their stale invetory out.

Yes, this is very true. Last year I had Minneapolis-St. Paul stores to go to. This year, I'll be going to Chicagoland stores. Admittedly, I expect more people to be taking part in the CHI-area than the Twin Cities area last year simply due to the fact that there are more people. I hope it's not.....

A trap! :)

I have th luck of living in the city where the most profitable WalMart on the nation stands, as well as one of the most profitables BB and TRU, so they usually have buttloads of copies for almost everything! Well... TRU sometimes runs out but not often... guess what city I live on??

That's because it hasn't started yet.
Don't worry...as soon as its live, it will be on the front page.

How does this deal work with regard to Green Tag 50% Off games? For instance, I bought Capcom Vs Snk 2 and Gun Valkyrie last night, both for X-Box. CVS2 was full price at $29.99, but it's hard to find so I bought it. I may return it to take advantage off this B2G1 deal, but I didn't really understand how it works until reading this post today.

But Gun Valkyrie was $29.99, reduced to $15.00. Does this mean this game "counts" as a $29.99 game, but then I get it at $15? I'm confused as to how this will work with regards to the other 2 games. Will the Green Tag sale end during the B2G1 deal? Many games on the list are Green Tag games so I don't know what they will do.

Also, can I mix games of different prices?

Honestly, the sale isn't that good of a deal. You get:

$50 games for $33
$40 games for $26
$30 games for $20
$20 games for $13

Many of the games on the list are Green Tagged, so they're cheaper to get them that way. I live in a small area so not very many people ever take advantage of deals like this and I don't have to worry about people lining up for this sale. Also, was the flyer for the sale in this past Sunday's paper, or will it be in this coming Sunday's paper? Thanks for all the help.

I don't know whether the green tag prices will still be in effect. Items are added/pulled from that green tag sale every week. They may end up pulling all videogames out of the green tag sale. So my dilemma (and probably many others). Should I buy the 3 $29.99 (green tagged) titles now for $15 ea = $45 or do I roll the dice, hope they're still half off and get the 3 for $30 ($15 less than if I bought them now) on Sunday. Of course, if the green tag prices are no longer in effect, the 3 would cost me $60 ($15 more than if I bought them now). Anyone have any definitive answer to whether the green tag sale for videogames will still work with the b2go? Thanks!

I'm betting that the games on the "list" we've seen are no longer Green Tag games, effective Sunday.

The flier should be in the Sunday paper that comes out on the 24th, which means I should have it on Saturday.

I dunno. I still think it's a pretty good deal to get 3 brand new releases (normally $50) for $100. That would usually cost at least $150. True, you're only saving a few bucks on the more "bargain-priced" games, but hey, at least you're saving money. Although you might be better off buying certain games now and using the green-tag sale. That just depends on the games you buy and their prices.

I just bought a laptop for $750 off (cha-ching!), so unfortunately (or fortunately) i won't be buying any new games for a little while.

Hey cronnos... Atlanta, GA??

And since when is Arkansas considered Southeast?

I ignored the Southeast part and went for Walmart HQ (in Bentonville). My original post of Rogers was where the first one was. Bit of a stretch, but who knows?

So I call my local (Santa Cruz) TRU to find out if they're doing the sale early, and low and behold, he said they already did it last week. :(

Now I know why I saw a bunch of empty shelves at TRU last time I was down there. This is so depressing.
