He e-mails me saying he accidentally clicked BIN, I e-mail him back saying pay me $3 for the fees then i get no response. So with this type of person what should I do?

Thanks for the help peoples

UHHHHH, so he accidently clicked Buy It now, and the confirm buttons as well?
I say you give it a day or two, but if he doesn't respond, file with Ebay. That's just absurd. Sounds like he changed his mind.

Perhaps they should make you type 'YES I AGREE TO BUY YOUR ITEM" so there is no chance of being like 'oh I double-clicked and did not want to buy, my bad' BS. I neg his ass if he doesn't ppal you the fees.

I could assume he "could" accidentally click on the BIN, but you don't accidentally confirm the bid too. He most likely just doesn't want to pay up. I'd wait a bit for a reply, and then file a NPB if necessary.

More likely he won the same item cheaper, since he probably isn't going to pay up you might do best to simply relist it and take the hit since a NPB claim is going to take a while.

it was YOU wasn't it!

i did this a few times before they added the 2nd confirm button.... i always paid for the sellers fees and little more.. usually

Sellers list fee
sellers final vaule
sellers relist fee
and paypal fees

I hate people who dont pay that.. as long as someone wins one of my auctions and is willing to pay those im happy

Good point. You can search for items by bidder. I'd check it out just for curiousity, but I don't think I'd actually throw it in the guy's face as there's really no point. I believe this link will work: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQtZvbQQsofindtypeZ3 Be sure to include completed listings.

I'd do the NPB thing. It's important to get the deadbeats off eBay. Only exception is if it's something you need to sell ASAP due to the value possiblly decreasing.

slide - offering to pay the seller some is great, but he really only has his insertion and upgrade fees to cover. No PayPal fees since you didn't pay and FVF will be refunded assuming you do a 'mutually agreed not to complete the sale'. Not saying you shouldn't pay some on top for the aggravation, but the actual fees the guy will be out are generally minimal.

Thanks a lot peoples. I will e-mail him 1 more time and tell him I will file a NPB, its already been 4 days.

Thanks again, I will keep you guys up-to-date on his response.

I actually have done this before and changed my mind, BUT what I did differently is offered to pay the fees right away, luckily they where nice and didn't care, so I got out of it. But that only happened once.

If a buyer loses a non paying bidder, ebay shouldnt allow them to leave fb. Of course that opens it up to the old fact of "the seller claims payment never recieved but doesnt wanna admit it sold lower than what they wanted" and then the buyer gets the shaft when they were honest. Damned if you do, damnged if you dont.

Exactly why every eBay transaction should be with PayPal. There's a record of payment and eBay has it.

Tell the buyer that he can either buy the item, or pay your fees, then leave you a positive feedback. If he doesn't, then you'll file an NPB, and leave negative feedback. Explain in a polite manner that you have to pay these fees unless you file an NPB on him.

You can't accidentally hit BIN anymore. This is either buyer's remorse, or he failed to read the item description until after he bought it.
File a NPB and recoup your fees. If he negs you, neg him back with the facts. I hate idiots that use eBay.
if you file a NPB against a buyer and it goes through(you get the fvf credit after a couple of weeks) the buyer loses the ability to leave feedback, just make sure you wait until you actually complete the process and have the fvf credit, because if you simply leave negative fb now, they can leave retaliatory fb

also, next time, if you are going to do a buyitnow, make sure it is buyitnow with immediate payment required. those are the ONLY buyitnows i do

I am pretty sure he only loses the ability to leave feedback if he doesnt reply to the npb.
