Buyer asking for feedback

I sold a game on eBay about a week ago, and I shipped it to the winner. Today I get a message from said user that simply says:

Pls. leave f/b thanks, dxxxx

I don't leave feedback as a seller unless buyer does it first (this buyer hasn't) , in case there is a problem such as the item arrived damaged or is not what the buyer thought it was. This is the first time somebody asks for feedback, most buyers either leave me feedback first (just as I do when I buy something from somebody else on eBay) or completely ignore feedback, which is fine by me. What would you guys do?

Respond that as a seller you only leave feedback after the buyer so that you can ensure that the buyer is satisfied before the transaction is finalized.

Thanks, I just didn't know how to word it properly in such a way that they're not motivated to give me negative feedback out of spite:lol:

Yeah, that's pretty wierd. However, I got one that tops that. I had a guy from Spain buy a game and then, in his PayPal payment, said to "be careful" because he often has delayed or lost mail. I should have cancelled right then, but oh well... Sure enough, he claims it never arrives, files with PayPal, and wins the dispute (since I didn't have tracking which is near impossible for international shipping - pretty much global express mail only). I was pretty steamed about it but was just getting over it when he leaves POSITIVE feedback out of the blue. OK... But he has sent me 4-5 messages since then asking me to leave him feedback so we "can close by mutual agreement". I'm tempted to neg him, but I'd rather just ignore the bastard.

It is particularly annoying because I offered to split the cost with him during the dispute and he never responded to that. Now all of a sudden he is communicating.

If this meant I'd get my auction fees back I'd do it. I did ask PayPal to refund me the fees (of course it was past the time to file for them automatically) and they said there was nothing they could do . Is there any chance they initiated this with the buyer and are waiting for me to leave feedback (or waiting for him to agree to it and he won't until I leave feedback)? That's just wierd though because I never heard a thing (and there is no ebay dispute page to look at for the auction). Anyway, very strange situation, but I guess it could have been worse and he could have left me a neg, which would have *really* pissed me off.
