ive been digging those macbooks for a long time now.. and they just upgraded them with a faster processor and more hard drive memory

im talking about the 1000-1400 range macbooks (not air or pro)

is there anywhere i can get these for a really good price, or somewhere theres payment options.. like 50 bucks each month without intrest? i see apple.com has the ~$37 bucks each month with some visa card, no intrest for 1 month, but its got an intrest rate of like %13..

or it would be just as good no intrest for a couple months, but more than 1 month

thx for helping

For the most recently released ones, the student discount might be all you can do if you're a college student and want one new.

An Apple-certified refurbished Mac might be a good choice, if you're willing to go with the last revision (2.2GHz instead of 2.4, for example). The page gets updated all the time with new refurb stock (especially Tuesday mornings) and it's how I got my 2.16GHz black Macbook last August for $200 off retail. The savings are better for a refurb than with using a student discount on a new one, and all carry the same 1-year warranty.

If you're okay with rebates, Amazon usually has some rebates on Macbooks. Macmall also clearances out a lot of the previous-revision Macbooks with rebates as well:

Best Buy also sells macs so you can look at them for payment options. I just picked up the macbook that was $1199 after student discount. ($100 off)

I got a military discount from the apple store in La Jolla, CA. I believe it is for all federal employees and it saved me $250. I think it was about %10-15 off. As for payment, whenever I could afford it, I would buy a gift card for $200-$400 until I had enough to buy mine.
