Those first 2 years were horrible for the Focus though, the first good run of those in America came out in 2002. 2000-2001 models are nothing but trouble
Thanks, I was unaware.
[edit] - But, in Ford's credit, everything that has ever gone wrong with the car has been covered by Ford. When they recalled the fuel pump, mine broke before I got it in, they came to my house, dropped of a loaner car, and towed the Focus to the dealership. The fixed my power windows for free out of warranty and gave me a free brake job out of warranty. Even though the car has issues, it hasnt cost me one dime. Besides, I have the money to buy a new car now, but I love the Focus Hatchback, it really is an awesome car, I have driven a lot of cars, I'm usually the DD and we don't pile into a 3-Door Hatchback, and I don't think I have ever driven a car that easier and more fun to drive.
