Buying new mic wire for Turtle Beach X11s?

Recently, I lost the microphone wire that plugs from the In-Line Amplifier on the Turtle Beach X11s to the controller. I looked EVERYWHERE for this thing, it's so small yet so crucial.

Basically, it's a wire with 3.5mm plugs on both ends. Any idea whether I can just buy a new one for a couple bucks at Radioshack or something? Can't listen to chat through the headset nor talk to people without the damn thing.

So frustrating. Any help is appreciated, brooskis.

Go buy one from Radioshack and try it. If it won't work just take it back with the packaging and they'll refund you. I've been buying connectors and wires from there for years and never had a problem getting a refund for something that didn't work as expected.

Or you can just buy a replacement directly from Turtle Beach...

You might could just email their customer service and ask about the cable.

I've been looking, didn't know if Radioshack actually had that kind of cable for sale. Couldn't find anything on their website, I feel like I may have overlooked it or something.

They probably sell em, yeah?

I would think Radio Shack almost certainly has them. Definitely check there first...even if it's not on their website they'd probably have it in-store (and it may be that it's miscategorized/mis-named on their site).

They have several on their website. According to Google searches 1/8" is the same as 3.5mm on stereo adapters. Could be wrong information.

I would take your X11 headphones/controller to the store with you and make sure the cable fits before you even buy it.

If the 1/8" adapters are too big you'll either need to buy a 1/8" cable with a pair of these 1/8" to 3/32" adapters, or look for a 3/32" to 3/32" stereo cable.

If you buy anything 3/32", make sure it says stereo. There is a lot of mono 3/32" stuff.

You need a 2.5mm to 2.5mm cable. Make sure it's stereo and not mono. You may have to buy a pair of 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapters and a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable.

3.5mm to 3.5mm cable:

3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter:

(You would need 2 adapters, 1 for each end of the 3.5mm cable if you're forced to go this route.)

2.5mm = 3/32"
3.5mm = 1/8"

Definitely do NOT buy something from the shack. The TB talkback cable has microphone control on it, it's not "just a 2.5 to 2.5 cable." Email them at [email protected] and they'll probably just send you a new one for free lol

Weeeell shit. Misread the info, bought a 3.5mm cable. Eh, shit happens.

That's a bit frustrating, though. Thank you for the info regardless, errybody.

No luck with the free replacement cable (Lost my receipt for the thing, bought it back on Halloween, a free cable requires a picture of the receipt according to Support), going to keep looking for the cable, I suppose.

If it ends up being too much of a pain in the ass, I'll just cave and buy a new one. Not a huge fan of spending 5 bucks on something that's probably somewhere in this damn house, though. I always end up buying replacements for things I lose and then find the original soon afterwards.

Keith, unless I misread that, doesn't it say that the shipping is free on orders over $50?

We sell these at Best Buy for $6.99. They're usually in the MP3 section or if you want the one made by Monster which is really thin and a bit better quality they're $14.99 in the Car Electronics section.
