Hey, folks, I figured since we have two or three threads about COD4, and various other ones, this could be a quick thread to talk about whatever game, as long as it's the [CAG] army fighting in it!

Thanks. It was good playing with some other CAGs again. I never get to play with any of the CAGs on Thursdays, as I am usually working.

I kept dropping out of the party on certain game modes due to the school servers being F'd somewhat tonight. My whole headset getting messed up was pissing me off too.

I will be on a lot after this Monday, as I start spring break Monday at 6 PM.
 
rage-kod, nice sig, i lol'd. I had a great time last night. I am glad some CAGs invited me, i totally forgot my settings were to show myself offline to everyone other then friends....duh.

Yeah, kudos for creating this thread!

I'm up for some TF2 this weekend. I still need those training matches Khondor :D to show me the ropes since I have ~2 matches under my belt.

I also have yet to play Halo3 online. I know, I know, you guys gotta give me a break since I just recently got an XBL Gold subscription and I've had my 360 since launch.:newbie:

I at least had one match last night that I was tearin' it up......vs one of my typical matches with you guys. A couple of those teams last night seemed very organized and I look forward to getting to that point (not saying anything against you guys).

...and about Halo 3, we should definitely play sometime this weekend, and I'll jump on TF2 as well. On the CAGcast, didn't they mention something about Orange Box being $40 somewhere this week? I'm not sure if it was the console one...

But my point is, if you don't have ORANGE BOX, pick that shiznit up so we can get some CAG FORTRESS action going on!

And we'll all play as medics, and just run around healing each other to avoid dying,...thus pissing off the other team to unfathomable levels!
 
Yea, good times playing last night. Funny how people jump into the room, see a bunch of CAGz and just drop out real quick. We are already legendary huh? LOL.

As for the other games, Halo3 and TF, I am on the friends list for both so drop me an invite if people are looking to play and need another player. Would love to play some BTB in Halo with a team that uses some strategy or at least has some chatter going on. I played TF2 once or twice but didn't get a great feel for the game due to the XBL problems and my connection being poor, but I fixed my connection (NAT is finally Open) so I'd like to try it out again sometime.
 
Ok...can someone PLEASE tell me how to open my NAT settings? Because I'm sure I'm a huge contributor to the dropping out of games situation in COD4! I don't even know where to begin, and a LOT of other people need to know as well!

Unfortunately even after setting up the static IP address my settings were only "Medium". I ended up having to get a different router to get the NAT "Open", but I suggest you try what is outlined in this thread 1st.
 
Big Team Battle on Halo3 is a lot of fun. bomb and CTF are great with team members who want to work together.

Maybe calling tech support for your router? Couldn't hurt.

It took me forever to get mine open. I screwed up a lot of stuff along the way too, so maybe a call to your router company might be the best first step.

I'm guessing that the CAG war is dead on arrival? Haha, that last match when it was just me, full metal and someone else against all 8 or 9 of you was great.
 
Here are the pics from FRIDAY, FEB 22nd. The night of CAG WAR I.

First, you'll see our classic hiding spot in .... I forgot the name of the level again. But the one with the tanks and sewers in the middle... Everytime we hide in this tiny house (ALL OF US), we end up winning, because shit, there's NO WAY that they can penetrate our defenses in there! This game, CheapyD graced us with his presence, and when they assassinated him...we went wild on their asses...but I think we still lost :(

And here's the result of CAG WAR I, in which we had two teams of CAGS, one with the tag: [CAG], and the other with the tag [CAG*]. So the CAGSTARS whooped our damn asses in a 2 out of 3 games war.

I realized I didn't even know where most of the primary capture points were because I never had to capture them in big matches. I kept running to the final cap point while it was still locked.
 
Simon, thanks for the invite last night. Wasn't able to connect, as I kept getting a "server unavailable" message. Hopefully sometime this week I will get a lot of time during break from school.

Thats why its best to learn the game in small groups.

Definately. I'd never played a game where communication and teamwork paid off so well, special thanks to Crazyfoot (excellant teamate) and Khondor (I know how to use an Engineer now!).

Yeah, thanks to all you guys and for all your patience and direction Khondor. It was a real blast and I hope we can make this a regular thing because it's more fun playing with reasonable people.
