this dvd player plays pretty much all dvd media and for me The all important Svcd format.

it has been 24.99-34.99 with 5.00 rebates for weeks/months at bestbuy.

It is now 19.99

Instores only. (they might price match online but you might have to call them or somthing and tell them its 19.99 in their store)

NO rebates needed.
great deal IMO

The store might be lazy and not update their price SO if you see a price of 2499-39.99 ask them to scan the price tag to double check the price.
when they do scan it. it will tell them its 19.99

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...00961&productCategoryId=cat03013&type=product

The price is what we call a "market reaction" and will probably only last 4-6 days before going back to regular price.

If youve seen a radio shack comercial they advertise this same dvd player for 29.99 for a "great fathers day gift" .

Best Buy (like everything else) is closed here on Sundays. So I will check out mine tomorrow. For 20 bucks I will finally get a few of the older family members who STILL haven't converted to DVD a player

No, Bergen County NJ. About 10 minutes from NY city. ;) The law was designed to keep traffic and noise down on Sunday. I can't stand it. Problem is the traffic to go shop in NY is ridiculous on Sunday morning, and everything else is 30 minutes or so out of the way.

GSJaia- guess we're neighbors. These stupid blue laws make me think we're living in the 50s. You know they say it's for traffic, but it all comes down to traffic. Luckily, I can get to the Palisades Center in Nyack, NY in about 20 minutes, so it's not that bad.

Back on topic- can anyone confirm this deal at any other Best Buy?

all the bestbuys In florida should be at this price. I just ASSUME that all the other bestbuys would have the same price.

So yea confirmation from BB's in different states would be nice.

I guess i could go back to work and type up different outof state stores and check their prices But it will be a day or 2 untill i head back up to my bestbuy :(

I had one as well, that is the loudest DVD player i have ever encountered in my life, if you have a small room for it, beware.

that dvd player is pure shit, and is now residing in some landfill. If you watch anything close to a normal amount of movies, dont be surprised if it dies on you.

I got this brand DVD player at Target's Black Friday sale last year. I've had to return it twice for a skipping problem. SVCD format disks also proved to give sporatic performance as well as DVD-R and DVD+R. The third one I'm using plays Standard DVD's fine but copied media is still a crap shoot.

Just FYI, You'll get what you pay for with this thing.

Uh oh. I watch movies on the thing all the time. It's all I can afford!!!! Hopefully, I have at least another year out of it before it decides to die on me.

I put this Deal over on slickdeals under my username oyouno .

A lot of stores have been confirmed at 19.99 thanks to slickdeal users.

Its a nice, small dvd player, with ok features, and played any dvd i threw at it...but it was more or less how many dvd's a threw at it that killed it, im guessing. I would say great for kids, but too many times with the lion king and caput.

I had this player too. I thought I was getting a good deal, but boy was I wrong. I paid like 50 bucks for it though. It was working okay for awhile but I hated the remote that came with it, it never wanted to work right. After about a month of using it, my DVDs started skipping and sound cut out a lot, then it just decided it wanted to do nothing but constantly skip like a 7 year old school girl. I took the video card out of it so I could use the video output on it, and I threw the rest of it away.

A big waste of money, don't buy this POS.
