CAG FIFA 09: Champions League, Fixture 3 is up! Fixture 2 due Wednesday!

Thanks for getting your games in. As far as best of 3, that was kind of what the double round robin was for but we could make every game two legs and then if its tied with a goal total after two you play a third game. Let me get everyone elses thoughts then I'll post a second fixture. Also another alternative is to have longer halves, say 7 minutes. I'm glad you guys are having fun with this and I want to make it fun for everyone.
 
My bad sstyler, when you sent me the message I was gone away from the 360 and by the time I saw it it was already late to reply since you had just logged off.
 
Yeah, I guess it really does not matter to me. I'll go ahead and switch you on the table. Regian let me know when you can play man. Also, Chris, if this league makes it through a full schedule I'll likely start a second one, so keep an eye on it.
 
Man Utd (Costa) 2 - 1 Lyon (homeland)

Great game. Got the early goal and thought I had the advantage at the beginning but Costa came back strong and scored 2 unanswered goals. Good game though.

We really should change this next season to get more games in each week. 1 10 min game a week just isn't enough. Even if Cags are beating me its still fun to play
 
I posted that I'll change format but no one really replied. Next week we'll start two a week unless I get complaints. One fixture Sunday, one on Wednesday. Also if you are interested in trying 10 v 10 together, let me know. We could have a club night as a supplement to our league as well.
 
it was a good game got a lucky goal, but my suggestion is to play the home and away games back to back since the person you play is their anyways.

my week 2 opponent still wont contact me, i sent them pm's and the whole deal. thats what i dont like about leagues. blah, i wanna play my games too
 
Regian, sorry about Tuesday night, I passed out and didn't wake back up til it was too late. Let me know when you can play next. And scrub, just keep in contact and if it continues to be an issue I'll PM one of the people that posted after league formation and see if they want in.
 
Barcelona (GoodFella/Juan C) 1 - 0 AC Milan (sstyler24\sstyler24)

Pretty good match overall. I scored early in the 1st half on a wicked strike from outside the box that managed to get by the goalie's upper right side of the goal with Xavi...I just shot the ball never thinking that it would actually go in. Had some more scoring opportunities including one that hit the post. sstyler24 came close to equalizing a couple of times on a pair of counter attacks. Overall, it was a match were both of us had some pretty good chances to score more goals.
 
Scrub I PM'd him, if I dont hear from him I'll contact the other people who have posted in this thread to see if they want his spot. Also, Regian, Can you play tonight? let me know
 
Fixture 3 is going up. 2 unplayed games didn't get played, Wednesday is the deadline.

If clingsmash does not post in the thread by the deadline we will be looking for a new team to replace him.

Also Regian, we need to get our game in and Costa let me know when you can play.

just a fyi.. things are looking bad for my 360. Turned it on today and there's no sound or video being displayed on my tv.. Not sure whats going on, but seems like its not uncommon after doing some google searching.. If I can't fix it tommorow, I'll be out of a 360 for a few weeks.

Suprisingly in my attempt to get a RROD (wrapping it in a towel, using a blow dryer into the 360 vents to cause it to overheat, put it in a freezer.. repeat) somehow got my 360 to work!!..

Regian Let me know when you can play.. I won't be available tonight as Left 4 dead is being released!

OK, no one is getting their games played... whats goin on? I'm included in that too unfortunately. We need to figure out whats going on, because I love FIFA and its great having organized games like this and I don't wanna let it go. So if anyone has suggestions do tell.
