Oh yeah, I'm finally gonna be picking up the PS2 SF Anniversary Collection today... wonder what 3s is like with an arcade stick.
I got a copy through Goozex yesterday. It was supposed to be the Japanese version of HSFII but I got the pleasant surprise to get the US version albeit a crappy used version from Gamecrazy. Not a big deal since the games are both the same amount of points. I might give it away if we have another 3rd Strike Tournament or even an eventual SFIV tournament.

For the most part, it's getting a lot of play in Japan (recently released in arcades)...

This might be the 'new' factor, but a lot of people are enjoying it (mostly the GG players).

Cool. I don't necessarily need the game to be like GG-levels of competitive, but if it's a fun, yet at least fairly balanced game like Hokuto no Ken, then it's definitely worth buying.

I just don't want to buy the equivalent of Arcana Heart or that Chaos Generations fighter... ya know?

*continues rebelling*.... but I need to finish my essay. it's on fight club which is cool, but I hate writing papers so it sucks.

I was playing some alpha 3 max at work on friday. that was hella fun. hey, would anybody be interested in a kaillera SFA3 tourney again? I remember the last one was really fun and thought it'd be cool to have another one.

I need some help compiling a list of fighting games released domestically for the PS1, PS2, Gamecube and Xbox. I'm looking to fill out my collection - anyone know where I can get such a list?

That'd be a good idea.

Now some questions, add wrestling games (yay or nay), add party fighters (yay or nay) ?

If it's the traditional fighters only, I'm sure visiting a site like GameFAQs will be helpful...

Example.. look up the PlayStation section, then click on the "Action" genre (there is no fighting unfortunately)... then filter going downwards...

It even has shit like Kensei on it. Very complete looking.

Well, but it doesn't have that Wu-Tang game that used the Thrill Kill engine, or Evil Zone. I don't see Darkstalkers 3 either, nor do I see Night Warriors.

EDIT: List updated...

Maybe I'll try to post up a PS2 list as well later on today...

I wasn't sure on including Wu-Tang, cuz it's not very traditional... I even put *s by Bushido Blade games...

Would you consider Evil Zone a traditional fighter? I don't really think of it as one.

You're right, I forgot about Darkstalkers 3! And Night Warriors is Darkstalkers 1 iirc...
Wasn't there a tobal 2 before ergheiz?
Yes, there was. However the list is for North American releases only. :(

Then there's BoomBots and Destrega and Psychic Force.

Oh, and on the list, there's Bio F.R.E.A.K.S., and Fighter Maker is on there twice.

But other than that, I'm like positive it's comprehensive.

Isn't the collection like... almost entirely in English as it is?

Anyway, that compilation came out years ago. If nothing's been said by now, I doubt we'll ever see it in the US.

I was gonna call the guy mean names, but then I saw this:
*continues rebellion*

Updated post again.
The rebellions must continue!

I checked the VGM's profile like... a few months ago just coz, and the guy was like 17 or something. So he musta been the punkest ass of bitches back when he made the original topic.

I think I joined around... what was it, number five or something? So I suppose I more or less replaced him.
 naw VGM can't be replaced... he had some random obsessions you possibly can't fill.
Oh, I can fill any obsession.
