hay MarkMang this guy in this other thread said this place in SeaPort village is really good:

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4243720&postcount=82

I wanna go but I live too far... had I still been cool JEKKI I woulda gone, but instead I'm bummy livin with mom n dad JEKKI

it's not the worst kind of JEKKI, but it's definitely bottom tier...

but anyway, so you have to go for me and tell me how good it is
Sorry I was out of town, just saw this now X_X

If it's the burger joint with the big steak fries at the Seaport Village food court, then I've tried it... It's 'alright'... I'm more intrigued by the place you mentioned!

I love me some burgers
FFBA2 is censored? That kinda sucks, but I'm going to have a hard time resisting when it's $10 at Best Buy.
which games are on FFBA2? RB1, RB2 and RB2S (or whatever that last one was called)
which games are on FFBA2? RB1, RB2 and RB2S (or whatever that last one was called)
Yep, those three. And I love them all.

If I ran SNK, I would have put Garou MOTW on there. And I wouldn't do things like censor games and cut out 480p modes.

The only game I've spent any real time playing was Real Bout 2 (which is the newest one.) Such a good freakin' game. SNKPUSA's shortcomings aside, Battle Archives 2 is definitely worth picking up.

Yes, definitely worth picking up. The gameplay's still intact, and that's what matters. For the price, it's a no brainer.

For the record, I paid $50 for Real Bout Best Collection for Saturn, which contains RB and RBS, and I thought that was a deal.

I don't know who to blame anymore for dumb shit like that.

SNKP USA? Sure

Hey guys. I'm finally back on broadband. I'll be on Xbox Live and PSN by the end of the week if not sooner.

Quick question......Has anyone played Outlaws of the Last Dynasty for the Saturn? It looks like a pretty interesting 2D fighter and estarland has one for $18. It's either that or Pretty Fighter at this point and I'm still trying to hold off on paying $40 for that.

I have the import. It's not a bad game, necessarily, it's just kind of boring. It's a decent game to play but it doesn't seem like it has a whole lot of depth. I had a hard time ever taking it very seriously.

oh shyt! Sister Fister 2010!!

I think the tiers are still too close to really tell. The new IC throw stuff is crazy. The top looks just about right though, but everyone below I'd still lump them all together. Except Marth. =)

I have it, but it's still sealed lol.

It's next to my sealed copy of the GameCube Deception.

I only played the Xbox/PS2 one.

To me, Deception was the peak of the 3D MK games.

Deadly Alliance was hmmm.. Deception did better... then Armageddon was like wtf.

I'll woop up all ya'll in Deception ^_^

Well at least with the GC version of Deception you could (I assume) use the hori pad or something.

After a couple hours with the PS2 version of Armageddon, I knew I was finished with it.

You pretty much nailed my opinions about all the recent MK games. Deception had alot of content and actually played pretty damn fun and had some short depth. Armageddon just totally got rid of what made deception good and shot itself in the face.

oh and also, if you have yet to download it get River City Ransom on the wii's VC. It's the only thing that made me turn on my wii after the last time I played it... which was about a month after No More Heroes came out.

River City Ransom is so badass. You gotsta get your kick power all the way up (get those Texas boots), then rape fools with the Acro Circus. Pure fun.

After playing more of RCR, I'm seriously considering working on developing a beat-em-up similar in terms of gameplay and leveling... it'd be a pain to make, but if I can pull in the right people it could work.

I've wanted a new RCR for so long. I never played the GBA one. A new RCR would be perfect for XBLA or PSN. Make it high res 2D, with 4 player coop.

I played some more Arcana Heart. I still think it's slow, but I got into it more. Then I played some Hokuto No Ken and said "Arcana WHAT?" I'm working on my Shin game. It feels good to be using somebody besides Kenshiro. ;)

IIRC, Acro Circus damage is based on the "strength" statistic.

You need to hug Teddy Bears for that =)

I need to play more Smash.
wow... the SCIV devs now outright say they don't give a shit about depth (mainly in ters of the yoda unfair discussion):

http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2008...es-seeing-street-fighter-iv-and-beating-yoda/
huh?
they didn't say anything like that.

“However, we always try to make the gameplay fun, so we prepare positive demerits of choosing Yoda and also negative demerits on it. There’s always some give and take.”

i will say one thing

the sc4 devs sure like to talk about stimulating each other. who knows, maybe they'll have yoda take more damage or something.

Fighting Yoda will probably be like fighting Gon in Tekken 3. Everybody will just use nonstop low attacks against Yoda and it will get boring quick.
Fighting Yoda will probably be like fighting Gon in Tekken 3. Everybody will just use nonstop low attacks against Yoda and it will get boring quick.
I expect that, but I think Yoda will be alot cheaper than gon IMHO.
I expect that, but I think Yoda will be alot cheaper than gon IMHO.
Oh hell yeah. Gon had no crazy ass air juggles. And who knows what else Yoda's packing. I bet fighting a good Yoda player will suck.
Oops, my bad. I haven't played that game in years. I need to. . .

And definitely hit up the sauna for some hot 8-bit dude ass.
Hell yea. Too bad it's at the end of the game.

Man I love RCR. Never could get enough of it as a kid.
Did you know the candy store in Flatirons mall was the most cost-efficient store to raise your stats?

I think at one point, I beat the game without buying anything.

I'd love to see and RCR crossed with the Dynasty Warriors engine or something like that...

I remember one day years ago when one of my friend's told me that he'd never beaten RCR. So I fired it up and we beat it in one sitting. He didn't know that you had to jump on all of the shit in the gym at the end to get to the second floor. And we'd hit up the bridge area with Bennie and Clyde and try to kill them before they finished talking. :)

I expect Yoda is going to be more like a Megaman in mvc2 than a Gon, meaning he'll take more damage and generally not do as much damage because he's so god damned small!

That part in the gym was such BS. Jump on the trampoline and then press Up to bounce before you can jump on the rim?

Actually, I do credit RCR for giving me good platform skills. I remember it used to take me and my friends forever to jump in the warehouse. =)

I had my cool lockdown for the twins using grandslam and a trashcan. Top tier for sure. Actually, jumping on a ledge is top tier for sure because all the enemies stop moving! What an awesome game.

Can't forget about playing baseball in the park with a stick and a rock!

I changed my signature to match the best worst quote in Brawl. =)
Whats the most reliable way to get away from the fan in Brawl? My friends insist on using items.
If they throw it (which is unwise), then block/jump it. If they're whackin' you with it, then try and DI away from it. If they slip up in mashing "A" a million times, you'll get out.

There is a decent thread going on at NeoGAF

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=285971

It's titled: "What is the most difficult move to pull off in a game?"

There are lots of mentions of fighting game moves...

What do you guys think?

Personally I don't find any moves in fighting games difficult for me to pull off... NOW, glitches, combos, and other things of that nature on the other hand. But single moves... nah.

EDIT: Wait, some Tobal 2 strings were fuckin stupid to do...

I remember not being able to get Lee's JF in TTT with the kick into the throw. 'course, I never played Lee, but still...

I'm sure you can do it :)

I can do that like 9/10 if I get the timing/rhythm back.

Can you feel the rhythm of the night?

I can never pull off electric snake corner dizzy juggles with Necro...

that's why I switched over to magnetic storm... less setups but easier damage

One of Lisa 3 part throws in DOA4....but I was on the 360 controller. The Izuna drop would be number 2 and pretty much anything that requires a 360 motion.
