Bob is a stud. Look out Devil Jin and Heihachi, you've been replaced on the tiers. Bob is God tier, so good he's almost broken. . .
 
If you wanna learn Tekken seriously (ie competitive lvl) hit me up or post questions here, I would love to talk/share strats... Thats something I always like doing.

Who is your main character btw?
 
I use several characters, but my mains at the moment would be Heihachi, Paul, King, Raven, and Lili. I've always used Paul, King, and Heihachi since the first Tekken, and when a new one is released, I spend some time playing as the new characters.

I'm starting to feel that I spread myself too thin on characters, and I should just pick one and get better. That's what I did with VF5 and Aoi. Maybe I'll make King my main. . .

As far as who I think I'm best with, I don't know. It changes depending on who I'm playing. I need to work on my defense.
 
Yea, I'd say stick to one for now. Me personally, I don't have a main, my main character is counterpicking or picking a character that my opponent is known to be weak against. I'm dirty. lol.

My best characters are probably Ganryu, Eddy, King, Julia, Jack-5. But I can use pretty much everyone except Hwoarang and Xiaoyu at a good enough level.

I love using Mishimas but can only excel with them when I have a really good arcade stick.
 
i was going to be on tekken tonight, but the local art walk is something i can't miss out on. i will be there for this weekend. i need to refine my dragunov. i think i have yet to get more than one match with you MM.

I used to be a lot better than I am now. I used to know all of King's and Nina's throw chains but I forgot most of them. . .

This is why I don't trust most fighter reviews from places like IGN.

That HRAP 3 would be pretty nice. I'd probably snap some better buttons in it though. I want a travel stick, but I guess I could just put a handle on mine.
 
I wish Miguel was in Tekken 5, man he's so cool!


When Tekken 6 comes out its gonna be nothing but Lili and Miguel action for me!

NCSX has the Samsho collection listed, and it's coming out like July 24th. Best of all, it's the Japanese version, so that means that it will probably have progressive scan and be untouched by the worthless folks over and SNKPUSA!

Metal Slug 7 is also up for preorders.

On the bright side, SNK Classics Vol. 1 is finally at the Gamestop near me, so I'll pick that up. Seems Metal Slug 1 and Baseball Stars 2 are unscathed, so that's good enough for me... and it also seems that this isn't hitting Japan on the PS2.

The IGN review says there's slowdown in some of the games (though MS wasn't mentioned.) They mighta been playing a beta version, so who knows? I certainly don't, because I got to Gamestop and they'd already devirginized the one copy they got. That seems like a great idea, since it was the first thing someone was going to steal when they went into the store. So I didn't buy it out of principle.

Guess I'll just order it from Amazon.

I have it. So far I've played:

King of Fighters 94 - Ran kinda weird, still very playable. Don't know if this very slightly choppy animation was just because it was old.
Shock Troopers - Runs slow, almost positive that isn't the way it's intended to be played.
Magician Lord - Runs perfect.
Baseball Stars 2 - Runs percect.
Burning Fight - Runs fine, never played original for comparison.

Definately worth 15 dollars.

Also, Killer Instinct is great. Sorry it doesn't have any half-naked anime girls ;)
 
Well, it's got Maya and Orchid, both of whom are skanks... no, that doesn't do it for me anymore. They need hand-drawn tits or it's no good for my... purposes.

I oddly still hope Tekken 6 never comes out on 360 just because I oddly associate annoying people/kids on 360, while it's complete silence on PS3.

Great news.... Metal Slug runs perfectly. Played through the first 3 levels, still one of the best Slugs IMO.

And for all of you waiting with bated breath - Top Hunter seems flawless. Didn't know you could do fireballs or dragon punches till I played that game today. Pretty cool game - any other hidden fighting game moves in it?
