I still have random stuff for prizes for people possibly, but I'm so busy for the next month I don't know what or when I'll do it.

if I get a new lab job next week (strong possibility) I'll have more time thankfully. Plus the job allows me to bring my systems to work and get paid while I play them.

I don't deserve any lifetime achievement award, esp since I came onto the fighter threads a bit late... always read it but never posted... I stopped lurking once ppl started posting their fighting game collections...

Minor snag means that the categories and nominations will be posted in tonight. In the mean time, lay down some nominees for "Best Jekki Quote", "Best Fighter Thread Title" and "Most missed FT regular" (Only 2 I have for that so far are Gigan and GuileWasNK(although he posts once in a blue moon), since Apossum is back)

Anyone ever see the new wireless official Sony Dual Shock 2(PS2) controller out in stores? There's a big immersion tech/katana logo on em... Same yellow packaging as the regular dual shock 2.

Was wondering if they made it out to store shelves yet.

The new d-pad is nice, but it definetely needs to get worked in before you can get used to it. After about an hour of playing with it, I couldn't notice anything anymore.
 
I am 21 and 14 now in VF 5 online

But I lost to a person 0-9 and beat a guy that was 0-1 and lost to me next match.

Hokuto no Ken (aka Fist of the North Star) (PS2) (Hands down this one was my pick for import fighting game release... I love the series and I felt satisfied FINALLY with this representation. Past HnK games kinda sucked lol.)

Virtua Fighter 5 - I need to get back into it. Maybe since Logg & Hank are playing it'll inspire me to pop it back in every once and awhile. From what I remember my online stats were 250 Wins - 120 Losses.

Best Import Fighting Game release:
Hokuto no Ken - Amazing 2D fighter. If you like the fast pace of Guilty Gear & MVC2 you'll love this. I'd love to see this hit XBLA. Rei is the man.

Best Non-Fighter of 2008 (as voted on by us):
Rockband - Never had so much multiplayer fun in my life. Hell, I even love singing.

Virtua Fighter 5 - Earlier in March when I went to Japan I trained my tail off in VF4 just so when I arrived in Tokyo I could at least win 1 match against those crazy Nihon-jins. I watched combo vids, read tips, I even bought a HORI stick just to get the feel again. I did good. And thanks to VF5 going online I wasted more of my life.

Xbox 360 - 2 years ago if you asked me "So what next-gen system are you getting, 360 or PS3?" I would've gave a snyde chuckle and instanly said PS3. Tells ya how bad a fortune-teller I am.

With the exception of VF5, 2007 was a pretty lackluster year for fighters IMHO. Here's Hoping Tekken 6, SF4, & KOF 12 and raise more intrest in the genre.
 
We need to play sometime Rodimus. You'll waste me. My record is currently 187-161.

I'll keep playing VF5 until something better comes along, like VF6.

- After playing it, then losing to a more skilled opponent, it makes me just want to train. Can't remember the last time a fighter got me heated like that.

Best Non-Fighter: Rock Band
- No question. The fun that this game oozes is practically unrivaled when you've got 3 other friends with you.

I'll probably be sitting at my friend's house. Anytime Saturday is fine, but probably afternoon or evening.

I've been using Aoi nonstop for the last two months. I like Pai, Akira, Aoi, and Sarah.

Lei Fei and that's all. I put my full concentration in that one monk. He's a ton of fun to use if you learn all his stances. I got decent with Akira but he's obviously for pros. Lei feels more Eddy Gordo-like. You never know what's gonna hit ya, but more technical.

Markman - Do tell, I'd love to know the SSBB list. Anything that hasn't been annouced yet..... like Mega Man?

I used Lei Fei a bunch in VF4 and Evo, but I haven't really used him in VF5, other than running through arcade mode.

Come on Markman, spill the beans. . .
