CAG Foreplay #14: Drink the Burn (8/28/07)
I can't believe anyone mentioned "touchdown jebus," or "JC of the Quicksand" as it's affectionately known in our family, on a podcast! We used to live in Dayton Ohio (40mi north of the Ships in Cincinnati) and would see this thing too often. For those who haven't seen it you should follow the link below. Who could possibly have thought this was a good idea?

...and it looks even stranger from I-75.
If you are going to link somewhere, you should link to the one true Jeeebus. My friends like to call it the Solid Rock Church and Casino: Where Jesus saves and every roll is a seven.

Don't forget the anatomically correct horse on the sign for Trader's World either. Also, on the other side, there's a smaller and much lamer Turtle Creek flea market. Also of note is the Hustler Hollywood store and a State Penintentiary, both just minutes away. Monroe, OH, your wonders never cease to amaze.

This week's episode will be up late tonight/early tomorrow due to our Labor Day activities yesterday. We'll get back on our Tuesday release schedule next week.
Did you go see the fireworks on the river?
No, mrs. shipwreck's mom had some good tickets, but we had so many other plans that we ended up not going.

And I just posted Episode #15 to the usual spaces. Written version and new post will be up tomorrow.

Tickets?

We just went down on the river with some friends on their boat. Much better view than sitting on the levee shore in Newport or the serpentine wall in Cincy.
