Original Post:
Last year, CAGs raised over $49,000 for Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity. This year, I'm setting the target at $50,000.

For every $5 donated via PayPal through the CAG ChipIn system, you will receive one entry into a raffle to win 1 of 2 $500 Amazon gift cards and other great prizes. Every year, the CAG Community donates some really cool and generous prizes and I expect to get some corporate donations too. I expect the prize list to grow and grow until the very end of the fundraiser.

You must donate through the ChipIn system by 12/31/11 or your raffle entry will not register. Just click the "ChipIn" button to donate. Donations are accepted via PayPal and go directly to Child's Play. ChipIn tracks our donations as a group, but the money is immediately deposited into Child's Play's PayPal account and never passes through CAG in any way.

Is the Chipin widget broken? It's been stuck at 165 donors and $4,646 for at least a few days now on my end, and I know I donated so it should at least have gone up to 166. :\

Just donated $10, but I'm curious how Cheapy picks winners for the raffle if your paypal uses a different email address than your CAG name is registered to. Does he simply email the winners paypal email instead of PMing here or?

That is correct. You can also go to Child's Play's website and donate items directly to one of the hospitals by purchasing off of their Amazon wish lists.

Hooray! Thank you for running the side contest UncleBob. I'm having some site issues right now that are preventing me from accessing the PM system, but once I can I'll send you my address.

I'm going to have to remember this fundraiser for next year and see if I can't scrap together some prize donations throughout the year to give away for it.

I just donated my measly $5. Haven't been able to get a job in the last 3 years otherwise I would have given more.
 
Unfortunately Best Buy has done broke me so I couldn't chip in for this fund drive. But I can explain a lil bit about prize #14 that was donated(Adult Swim prize pack, more specifically the Meatwad dog collar).

The line that's imprinted on the collar is from an episode(don't remember which one right now) and of course Meatwad says the line.

Wow, big problems with chipin and Paypal the past few days...I finally just got my first payment done today. Been trying since Dec 23rd.
