Hello everyone.

I decided that since I wasn't able to control the other Mario Kart thread OP (OP never got back to my PM a while ago), so I decided to create a thread specifically for CAG Mario Kart Wii Online. This thread won't just be for Mario Kart Monday, but if anyone at CAG wants to have an online game with CAGs on a certain day, let me know and I'll update the thread title so everyone will know. I was noticing a trend of many people missing Mario Kart Monday because since they don't see a time in the OP, they end up forgetting about it. This thread will be devoted to just Mario Kart Wii Online match ups.

CAG Private Match

Here's how Mario Kart Wii Online works at CAG. You must be buddies me (Mana Knight) or the person who hosts. If you are NOT friends with me and/or not friends with anyone, you will NOT be able to join Mario Kart Monday. If you want to join, please let us now ahead of time. If you don't show up for a bit or remain quiet over Mario Kart Monday, I/We have the right to remove you from our buddy list since there's only 30 slots available and if we need to make room, we will.

CAG Regional Match

For a CAG regional match, all you need to do is be friends with ONE person who plays. As long as you are, try to meet up with them and you'll jump into their game. However, when doing regional, you will play random people from across North America.

I know we discussed this at one point as a possibility, but I'm still interested in hooking up with other MK Monday players over Skype due to the lack of voice chat.

I could also make some indicator as far as which CAG members have Skype. Also. I may add links to each persons profile.

Right now, the :wii: logo you see next to some people's name, that links to their post where they posted their Mario Kart Wii friend code. I'm going to try to hunt down all the friend codes and link to them. If people rather I just stick their friend codes right next to their name instead, I can do that (probably seems like a better idea, and have the link directed to their profile). I just kind of hate listing friend codes here since that's the purpose of your thread BlueLobstah. ;)

I will be here tonight but I'll be 30 minutes late. And I do not have Skype.
 
I added you mana and lurk but i wont be able to play tonight.Kids are up late and wont go to bed so maybe next week or i will check when i play through the week to see if i can find anyone in my friends roster to play with.I need some other people to add me right now the only CAG members i have are lurk and mana so if anyone adds me please me your # so i can add you as well.
 
If you are in a room with someone not on your friend list, you can add them easily.

There's two buttons during such a scenario (not sure on the names)
[register] and [message]

Select [register] and then "Let's be friends, _____!". That message will be shown to everyone like normal messages. Then the person it was directed towards will be able to select [register] and then "____ and I are friends now!"

Feel free to quote/revise if you know the button names.

Should be there tonight, but not for long. The earlier it is, the longer I can be and the more likely I'll be there.
 
Sorry everyone, I somewhat forgot about school being in session, so I will push Mario Kart Wii Monday nights forward to 9pm EST. Thanks to those who showed up.

I'm waiting for Daisydog to get on regionals, since I may play a bit.

Thanks for the pity race :lol: I was disconnected after Rainbow Road and then I couldn't find you anymore.
I raced for another hour but no one else joined. That's OK though, I need to figure out what I'm gonna do about this tv thing.

No problem. If anyone has Skype, mention it in this thread, and I'll put it next to their name as a Skype user.

Lastly, I decided to have two accounts. The one I have now will be for strictly Mario Kart Monday use, while the other I have will be more personal, so spaces should open up.
 
All right, I updated the thread even more (especially post #2). I have SIX slots open for Mario Kart Monday, so if people are serious about playing, make note of it.
 
I just thought of something. Why doesn't CAG invade Mario Kart MVP on Goozex? They usually start their MVP Contest on Monday too but @ 9PM EST. Winner get 200 goozex points.

I've been doing that the last 2 mondays myself actually. Since they actually do a MVP for Mario Kart on Sunday and Monday , I'll probably end up doing the Goozex Night one on Sunday so that I can show up for the CAG one on Monday.

If anyone would like to show up for the Goozex MVP night that would be great. The last few times we've been short on people (especially on sunday) and so no MVP title was awarded.:cry: If anyone is interested or wants more info feel free to PM or check out the thread on Goozex , so as not to clutter this thread wth another sites game night.
 
To let everyone know, I'm not 100% sure if Mario Kart Monday will happen tomorrow. Probably will, but no guarantee. I'll keep everyone updated in this thread.

I will be here on Monday at 10pm EST. There probably won't be many people, if any at all, so I'll be in regional if anyone wants to find me :)

I'm also thinking about playing early in regional from 8:15pm - 9pm EST.

There's just something else I gotta do tonight, but I should be done by 8pm EST. It gets my priority unfortunately (too important).
 
Well I don't want to push my schedule onto people, so we'll go with whatever time is more popular. Even if it means excluding me :lol:

But next time I don't think I'll be able to make it at all :whistle2:k At least not if we do it on Monday.

Also I have never given my wii friend code to anyone and don't know where to find it.

I will probably still host tonight, but to let everyone know, I may not get back to this thread until 8-8:30pm EST.
 
Uh, I might have to cancel it, unless Doomed can put something together or regional between people. I have something really pressing to do tonight (Cover letter for a company in Ohio, and I really want to make sure it goes well), so I'm definitely out. However, I will look into re-scheduling this for tomorrow or something.
 
I can host, but it didn't seem like that many people were gonna show anyway. Regional is better suited when only a few are coming. And as always I have to looser out at around 10PM EST.
 
Unless I go out of town, I should be there next Monday. I completely apologize for last week. I'll start it at 8pm EST or 9pm EST, whatever time people rather do.

Just saying , but the Wii does offer keyboard support. I don't know off hand if it has to be a specific kind of keyboard , but if your using the wii as your primary access to the internet , you might want to look into getting a cheap one that's compatible. I could find out more info if either of you want are interested.

Lurk, those powerful should have helped you in brawl tho. You should try squeezing an apple. All in all, it is definitely into improving my spelling w/ the lack of spellcheck.

and yes i have seen the wireless keyboard made by [insert cheap company name here] i just dont feel like spending 40 bucks on it unless its nintendo offical
