CAG/PS3 Blur night - It looks like we made it to the end

Finally got the game played it offline, it was pretty fun. Although I did lose to my little sister once. I'll probably hop online tomorrow sometime please add me I don't have any friends since I'm new to the 3cepticons

Finally played online had a lot of fun, nothing better than winning a 20 man race! even if it's followed by a DNF :( I'm up to level 11 I think I still want some better cars though.
I played with SweetSweetTrash today good game though I barely saw you.

i have been extremely lucky. never froze up or had issues with servers, even finished 1st on my 2nd race as a level 2 vs a lv 50 (giant killer!). i didnt even try driver's ed i went straight into power play 20 racers. but hellz yeah add me so you can stomp me Velo214

Good games tonight, guys. All the options for private games are really nice to have. Maybe we can do more of those if people don't mind not getting XP.

Randy, I noticed that when you unlock the Viper ACR with the Best Buy code it unlocks all the upgrades for it as well, so you should definitely have the different paints for that car.

Also the best kube quote of the night: "What are you doing in last place, metaly!? Oh well, don't feel bad. I'm in third!"

Although I only played for a little bit tonight, I was really surprised to see a Battle Mode reminiscent to Mario Kart's in Blur! I had no idea this game had that... and turning around in circles was a lot harder than I thought it would be... I kept falling off the sides of that building rooftop, but oh was it fun! :lol:
 
I just finished playing a little while ago and I was in 1st place halfway through the last lap and someone pitted me! What a loss! I only a level 5 and almost beat about half which were level 40's.
 
There's a new patch coming out soon according to Bizarre:

Stability
Team-Racing – Resolved occasional instability caused by large player parties entering team racing lobbies
Race-preview screen – Resolved rare instability when viewing the race preview screen

Exploits
Legend – Exploit to increment Legend level is no longer possible

Gameplay
Nitro - Fixed adverse effects occasionally caused by firing a nitro while being shunted or mined
Wall Riding – More precise tuning of the slowdown for hitting walls, on a per car basis

Minor Fixes
Custom Race - Turning "Random Power-ups" ON in Motormash causes Power-ups on the map to eventually turn into Nitros.
Titanium Armour – Equipping Titanium Armour can make Power-up special effects fade out

If anyone wants a leaderboard rival, Im looking for a rival as well since the two friends that have the game on my list play on Easy and aren't that competitive.

I noticed there was a 1.02 patch released, so I deleted all the port forwarding rules I had created and took my PS3 out of my router's DMZ. To my surprise, I was able to connect without issue. Just to make sure, I even rebooted my router and it still worked.

On the other hand, I wasn't able to connect to the game that Randy and Metaly were in for some reason. I played a couple random games without issue though. Was your game full or something maybe?

I dunno, seems like connection issues may have been addressed but there could still be some kind of connection problems.
 
I ran into the same problem--I couldn't just join Randy's game. He had to back out and invite me to a party. Sorry I didn't notice you were online or I would have invited you. It was just about four of us and then some random guy playing.

I think the 1.02 patch transferred all the server problems over to Modnation Racers.

Well, I'm glad it isn't just me. I thought about asking for an invite, but I was tired so I just went to bed.
 
I initially had some issues joining in, but after 4-5 attempts I was finally able to join. It was just bmachine, metaly and I, but I believe we all had fun.
 
Sorry I couldn't play with you guys last night I couldn't join some peoples game I think it was metaly and randy.
I may jump on tonight around 9 or so
 
Good grief. WTF is going on with all of these connection issues lately? Very discouraging.

Maybe it's me? I should attempt to let someone else host next time and see if the issues persist.

Some really fun races last night, though...I thought we had a pretty good group going.
 
The MNR issues aren't you, at least; I got disconnected a few times when I was still in the Modspot. There are people complaining about it on the official forum, too.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Blur issue was Bizarre trying to fix the previous server problem and then creating another. At least the new problem seems fixable without anyone having to restart their router.

Also video games suck.
 
I thought it was just me having these connection issues until metaly messaged me about his connection issues too. :(
I was about to go off on AT&T, since they were giving me shit speeds for the past few days... totally thinking about going back to Comcast. The savings is just not worth the headaches I had to endure for months. :/

My FiOS has been down since yesterday morning. It's supposed to be fixed tonight but I don't have an ETA.

I'm "borrowing" some wi-fi from a neighbor who clearly doesn't know how to use their router. I don't know if the connection is good enough to play games over, though.

I'll keep you guys posted.
 
Dang I haven't played Blur in a couple weeks, I got MW2 and the double XP had me hooked like a fiend!!!! but now that double XP is over I should be able to hop back in the saddle of this game not tonight though anyway, wanna play tomorrow some time?
 
I'll be on for a little bit tonight, maybe about an hour? I just started Red Dead Redemption yesterday and will want to go back to that. ;)
