CAG/PS3 Blur night - It looks like we made it to the end

It's Monday, anyone feel like racing/crashing into walls tonight? There will also be a moment of silence for freaky's PS3.

I've had some busy Mondays, plus it didn't seem like as many people were showing up for Blur lately. We should get the group back together, though! Halloween weekend sounds like a good time.
 
Yeah, that's sounds like a plan... wanted to play Blur for the past few weeks, but couldn't for reasons I really can't get into. I wish I wasn't privy to some of the classified information that I am privy to. :/

I was able to play online during the double xp weekend (Halloween) but since then I'm not able to. Anyone else having this problem?
 
I haven't tried recently, but I guess I'll know for sure tonight. :)

I checked periodically last night but I never saw anyone on blur. Maybe we should decide on an actual time unless 10 EST was supposed to be it?
 
I got on for a bit and tried to play while waiting. There were only 240 players online, spread across all the modes. I entered a lobby for "Powered Up Racing" (the game mode only had 56 playing) and waited for a game to start. It started me in a new lobby for some reason, and I sat around for 10 minutes watching the same PSN ids show up in the lobby searching for a game, and then dropping.

There were never enough people in the lobby to start the game, so I just gave up. Stayed signed in to PSN to see if others would switch out games, never happened. Heh.
 
Haven't played it in months, plus Test Drive Unlimited 2 will be my new racing game once it's out next month, so I might try the trade-in thing. Anyone want to have a send-off race night on Tuesday or Wednesday?

Speaking of TDU2... If you're looking for another racing/driving game (right), it should be pretty good. It's open world with a huge map and has sort of RPG-like progression. I played the first one a ton so I'm hoping it lives up to it. Also Amazon has it for $50 + $10 credit.

Yeah, I'd be down for a send-off night. I'm not buying TDU2 (or any racing game) at launch, but maybe when it gets cheaper I'll check it out.

I still have Split/Second and haven't played it with any of you...

Boooooo... although we haven't played this in a long time, so it's understandable.

Whenever you guys have this send-off night, I'm down for playing.

Yeah, same time. Starting in about 90 minutes!

I'm also disappointed the game didn't do better. It's definitely one of my favorite racing games. (Too bad about the sound issues on the PS3.) Some DLC tracks would have been nice.
 
Just remembered that the Best Buy version had some exclusive car code, so I hope it doesn't have a unique UPC. Amazon/Noram might give us shit if it does.
