CAG PS3 Fighting Game Matchmaking Thread - Injustice out NAO!

Another Impression from SRK

"its actually better than he described i played with a guy in soCal and im now in Hawaii and he said it was pretty good, only minor input lag he said....mind u it was only 2 bars, now i played UMVC3 with 4 bars and that #### lagged throught out the match....KOF13 netcode is fine....waaay better than KOF12"
Buy it now? Last time I put up DLC it got removed from ebay.
Yep, BIN. Listed it at $9.99 and someone used BIN. Free insertion fee which was a surprise. After eBay and Paypal fees, I got about $12ish. Not bad.

In March when the complete set comes out, I guess I'll be able to gameshare it with someone else for $10 each, $20 total.

Paco am cry.

Blitz am buy for 9.99 on gamefly with free shipping.
Game looks smooth and sounds like its mostly button delay. I'm keeping my pre-order.

Its still a huge improvement over the last KOF. Before the patch it wasn't playable and the screen wasn't that smooth. Then after the patch it was mostly button delay. I hate when its extreme button delay, but if its just some I can stand it.

Paco would buy it and play it no matter how bad the online was. He played the crap out of KOF 12 like it was the shit.

Ok guys, I pretty much wiped the list clean, so just fill in your info once more. Frank, I kept your stuff since you just recently signed in.

Online feels worse to me than the original and some of the characters just don't feel right (I do realize that capcom revamped a large part of the cast). I'm trying to enjoy the game, but its pretty hard right now. Just feels like i'm mashing everything.

Have you been playing against people who you normally have a good connection to in other games? It just seems odd since I've heard the netcode is supposedly a lot better.
Just feels like i'm mashing everything.
That's how you know you're playing MAHVUL correctly baby.

It seems netcode is ass in player matches, but ranked for some reason is ok. And the couple of times I play friends on friends list it's ok, for the most part. Though there are moments of lag. The lag in the game is different than the last game for sure.

And maigo, you've been playing Chun li in mvc3, of course you mash dem legs...

Though I can get by with just double tapping. I guess I'm resistant to the lag.

I never trust ranked, you don't know what shit the people you're fighting have going on or what they're using. Shame your friends are pirates and can't play you!

the weird thing is, in vanilla, I felt like I was mashing all the time. In Ultimate I feel like I'm actually playing a game now.

Maybe when I get UMvC3 we can play, like we're supposed to play 3s still, LOL! I used to play SSFIV with somebody from Canada and we had a decent connection. However... you're in Vancouver, I'm not sure where he was from.

Wanna play sometime? I can prolly make you mash again. Haha.

Tomorrow is a big day for Paco. The one he has waited for months to come. Its finally upon us and it won't be glorious.

Mine already shipped there is no turning back now. May god have mercy on us all.

Played some of that Paco of indieFighter XIII today.

Looks great and the controls seem tight, but man another crazy combo 2d fighter? I just don't need one right not that has all these crazy super cancel combos into juggle in cancel super into random BS for 90 hits combos. Combo videos are going to be crazy.

It does look amazing.

For everyone, Tuesday 22nd November of 2011 was the most important day the world has ever seen. For Crapcom fans. It was Tuesday.

And Jman KOF XIII got rated higher then Ultimate Mahvul. ;)
By who?
By egm they gave mahvul ultimate a 7/10 and kof 13 a 8.5/10
Mexicans.
Its the truth. I know several mexicans besides Paco and if there into fighters there main focus is KOF.

My KOF is out for delivery. It may be 7pm before I get it, but I'll have it on release day. I also ended up getting WWE 12. I was going to skip it until it popped up at amazon for 47 bucks with 10 bucks promotional credit.
prepare to get bodied.
I'm willing to bet option exposes people because they can't block cross-ups, punishes mashing, punishes bad advancing guards, and frame traps out the ass.

If that's the case, then I'm very proud of him.

Hes using a 50/50 unblockable setup with wesker, blocking one way is just luck, you either block it or you dont. Good luck.

I'm not full mexican, so KOF doesn't interest me greatly.

Ok, KoF sign up list is up for all you Messicans.

Btw, does that Tekken Hybrid have online or anything like that? Apparently that came out as well.
Btw, does that Tekken Hybrid have online or anything like that? Apparently that came out as well.
No.

According to what I read about Tekken Hybrid it doesn't have online. I would have bought it on release if they added online play.

KOF is actually good again. Then again I still played the one before this some. It was a guilty pleasure.

Only thing negative is the recycled stages. There is ones they reused and just changed a few things. Also I'm sure even Paco noticed the whole layout looks just like Blazblue.

The netcode could have been better, but considering its from SNK it is god like compared to the last KOF. I only really got to test out the online once my internet stopped acting up. Some matches it was smooth and some had some minor lag. If any of you guys are extremely picky about delay you won't enjoy KOF XIII.

Japanese Review giving me the Troll. It's funny how the newer Neo Geo Station games have better Netcode then this though.

Player1: Osaka, optic fiber, TV display lag about 2F
Player2: Nara, optic fiber, TV display lag unknown but playing on a Regza's game-direct mode
Distance between two cities is about 60km/37miles
PS3 Version.

Player Side 1P:
"The Lag is about the same or shorter than playing on a blue Vewlix cabinet. No hiccups, you can block normally. Probably about the same lag as SSF4. Synching does not happen if the opponent has the game installed (in other words, the synching is simply waiting time for the opponent to load their game) Game loads in 2 seconds after the characters are selected, load time between characters are under a second. In the arcades, I couldn't do combos on the Blue Vewlix so I wish there were no lag at all like NeoGeo Station.""

Player Side 2P:
"This is the first time I've played a fighting game online. It felt a little bit stiff to jump and stuff than the arcades. My Kuhadan> Breaking> Zaneiken> EXZaneiken whiffed, but this might be possible once I get used to it. My opponent could actually do Shen's HD combo and do delayed inputs. I don't know how to install."

So the verdict seems to be that, on 4 bars, it's arcade quality gameplay. A blue Vewlix is the cheaper standard cabinet for TypeX games. Its LCD monitor has about 2 frames latency than the normal red cabinet

Yeah, on Japan's GDLK internet when you're 37 miles away from each other. Arturo Sanchez says the netcode over here sucks and there's delay no matter what, even with his fiber optic connection.

Good enough for the fine people in Tijuana.

Well, finally got KoF in the mail. Too bad it didn't come with the chips and salsa pre order bonus. This "King of Soundtracks" will have to do.

Also got that Tekken Hybrid and only watched the movie so far... Those crazy Japanese and their thing for robots and little girls.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend. And here's a little video I made.

You all MUST buy KOF XIII
Maybe if they fix the netcode.
I played against a guy yesterday and it played like ass. I assumed my internet was acting up, but the next ranked game I played was the smoothest I've seen so far in KOF so it wasn't my internet.
