CAG PS3 Fighting Game Matchmaking Thread - Injustice out NAO!

Well, the other night I tried KoF online at my friend's place. Played against a blue bar...

There was like a second delay...

fuckin' SNKP dropped the ball again.
 
The Reason SNK does not change GSS is because SNK OWNS GSS.

Why does SNK think they can keep getting away with this? It fucking sucks because KoFXIII is actually a really good game, unlike MK which has shit netcode and only makes up for it in a sweet story mode.
 
Fighting games just aren't meant to be play online. I miss the arcade era. So i used to like KOF 97 and 98 should I get KOF 13? What is the learning curve of this game?

Where do you live man? I'm sure there must be a scene or something there. I mean I live in utah and I was able to find a good fighting game scene here lol.

It's four hours away, how long do you have to drive to get to your scene? HMMM?!?!?!?!?!!? I'm willing to bet it's not four hours. That makes a fucking round trip 8 hours, in what way is that a feasible method of playing fighters locally?

I try not to go to that hellhole anymore. Finding people who play BlazBlue would be sweet, though. I don't wanna just fucking play Capcom fighters ... unless it's 3s, because that game is the best thing Capcom has ever done.

Tried playing Option at kofxiii. We got in maybe a match or two then every time we tried it kept dropping the connection. That's the first time I've seen kof do that. I tried several different ranked matches and it dropped every single time. So I fired up umvc3 and it never dropped any of the 10 ranked matches I played.

I remember distgfx and option iv couldn't play Mortal Kombat for the same reason. I don't know what it is about KOFXIII and MK with the dropping games. I've had it happen before in MK, but last night was the first time KOF did it.

On another note when I tried it with Paco we got one bar and it lagged like crazy. When I tried it with Option it was 2 bars and actually smooth. I was in shock to be honest and wished it let us play it. NC to CA and it was smooth with SNK netcode. I'm sure it had some delay though. I could tell it had some, but didn't seem bad at all. I still want to give it another go with Paco my internet may have been acting up at that time.

KoF13 is a good game, don't get me wrong. But bare minimum on any game these days is a decent netcode. If SNKP is going to be pulling this shit all the time, I honestly hope they go bankrupt and get bought out by Capcom. Where the fuck is my Garou: Mark of the Wolves on PS3.

As for best Capcom game, it's definitely CvS2. Definitely the better game than 3s. Only reason 3s outlived CvS2 was the famous Daigo parry. It single handedly revived the 3s scene and possibly the whole fg community.

fuck CvS2. Capcom added shit their characters never had there and gave them tremendous buffs, then raped every SNK character for shits and giggles and made them nowhere near as powerful as their real incarnations.

And the reason SNK continues to use GSS is because they probably own them. I went to their web page and it said "deployment" and it was nothing but SNK games. SNK has to own them.

And I just played some 3S earlier today. GOD DAMN. Moves SO fuckING SLOW. My nuts fell asleep playing that shit after a 32 hour binge of KOF XIII

I've found some good games, but they are few and far between. Though making people rage quit when I get them in the HD Mode Vice combo is just great. Ring around the Rosey indeed.

I'm headed down tomorrow and I live further away. In fact I can get you a ticket round trip for $55 flat to Miami on bus. You can go AND still be lazy.

You might as well try practicing self sucking if you ever plan on committing suicide...???

Don't have a scene? Then MAKE your scene. You'd be surprised at how many people are close around you who want to play these games.

Finally in the top 100 for KOF 13. Gotta get up to the top 50 now.

I picked up UMvC3 and played it for a bit. I don't see what you don't like about it. Is it the long ass combos? The fact it's more of an "anime" fighter than Capcom's other stuff?
