I thought the combat in Shank was actually quite boring and repetitive because even though you could do a few different actions only one was really particularly useful causing it to be a button masher. I enjoyed the art style a lot though. Never bothered with hard mode because of lack of checkpoints, which was borderline infuriating. Maybe they fixed it with the sequel, but I'll wait till the reviews are out.
