CAG Stock Trading Competition - Now Live - Enrollment Open

I didn't even realize I'm at 2nd place now. Looks like I bought stocks at a good time. I don't know if I can make another $13,000 to catch up with jeffery though. The market has been all over the place lately. At least before, I was fairly sure I could profit by shorting everything. Now I'm not certain what to do next.

Looks like your down at the bottom again wubb. Seeing you jump up and down in the rankings has convinced me to never trade options in real life. I don't think my heart could handle movements like that.

BTW I never did figure out how to buy Nintendo stock. I put in a order for NTDOY which never went through for whatever reason. Anyone have any luck?

Haha I have no clue what i'm doing so I just picked some companies and bam i'm in second place. I'm up 7 grand in half a month but of course if this were real money i'd be broke..... EA has been my big winner so far, i'm in the game. :D
 
This competition has proved one thing to me .. I should never, ever be a stock broker or day trader .. at least without a lot of friggin training.
 
Been out of the loop for a bit, but figured I'd give this one a bump. The comp ends this Friday and jjr looks to be nearly untouchable at this point.
 
Yeah, it was fun and a good learning experience for me too. I made some risky moves toward the end hoping to get to first and ended up losing several thousand. I'm glad this wasn't real money. At least in real life my portfolio has gone up about 1%.
 
Wow, after a tumultuous ride, I finally made it back over $100K. Two more days till the finish... I look forward to the next competition and trying some options and shorting. I went long all the way this time, lost big on tech stuff, and made it back through blue chips. Early congrats to jeffreyjrose. That BrightSmile trade really shot you to the top early; that was a hell of a play.
 
lol i'm $1000 behind the leader $120,651.90 vs $119,553.10. I'm down $1800 on Under Armour otherwise i'd be in the lead........ I just put in orders to sell all my stuff in the morning since it ends tomorrow. Hopefully the leader takes a hit at the last minute.
 
Locked before market close... bummer. 13th place. Who's up for a new competition now that the market seems to have some new life?
