CAG Tekken 5: DR ONLINE Thread! (Schedule your beatings here!)
it is a port of the arcade version so i dont even see this getting the extra in the psp version.
the main difference in this to the the arcade is the downloadable endings and the widescreen, and everyone knows widescreen in fighters is a must.

It looks as if Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection is now available for download on the PlayStation Network in Asian territories(Japan and Hong Kong confirmed).

So looks like it will be releasing here earlier than expected!

Yay.

The bad news, no practice mode! BOO!

post videos or links as soon as they surface.

The game is available in the Japanese store for 2000 Yen.

Sadly, you can't purchase without a Japanese credit card.
I was able to purchase it from the HK store as well.
IMPRESSIONS PLEASE!!!!!!!!

post the noticed changes, if any (including damage, graphics, etc, and whatnot) and anything on the new stuff... specificly if they toned down the playable jinpachi.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD TEKKEN 5: DARK RESURRECTION from Hong Kong PS Network.

Note: Before doing this make sure you have a Visa or Mastercard Credit Card/Debit Card(In some cases you may need 2 cards).

1) Create a new log in on your PS3 system.(Far left of the XMB menu).

2) Sign up for the PS Network(Far right). Make a master account.

3) Fill in all information accordingly, choose Hong Kong as your country.

4) Under street address put in a random number and street name. For region just pick a random one, for example I picked Kowloon/Kowloon Bay.

5) Enter in your billing information, make sure you're accurate!

6) Once you finish setting up your account, go back to the Account Management and add funds to your wallet. What you're going to do now is add 40HKD twice. This will give you a total of 80 HKD. (Why are we doing this? Because for some reason when authorizing the credit/debit cards it will not complete the transaction when authorizing 80 or more HKD at a time;Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection is 125HKD). So now that you have 80 HKD. Exit the account management and go into the PlayStation Store.

7) Choose the DL for Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. Once doing so it will ask you to confirm and once you do it will show that there is a remaining balance owed of 45HKD. Authorize the transaction and you should be good to go! If it does not work on the PS Store screen you will have to use another card(Edit billing information on the account management screen of the PS Network(Far right on XMB).

Have fun!
I don't want to know how, I want to know how much of it is in English and how much in Japanese.
Me too.

It's not all in English. Options menu is all Japanese, and it looked like more than the simple save/load stuff to me.
Check the video posted earlier in the thread bo rolento.

The US version should be out very very soon.

You've been looking forward to playing this Tekken, or Tekken in general. Because it has been known for a long while that there wasn't going to be any online play in this version.

I'm happy to see ace software being offered this way. Hope they keep them coming.
I wish I knew what my rank was other than grey box. Also, the shop is confusing as hell.
www.tekkenzaibatsu.com is a good source for customization.

There are some scans of the items there and their Japanese name.

Keep in mind that all items are half the price of their arcade price.

I havent really played tekken since part 3.
But i would buy this for 20 bucks in a second...
As soon as its up at the us store....
Are there any extra fees for using a different currency like that? Seems like a good way for the banks to screw you.
There's the exchange rate, which your credit card should handle for you. 40 HK Dollars comes out to about $5.15 US.
So, any idea when this is coming to US? Will they offer a demo before you D/L? (Like XBOX Live Arcade)
i would guess when Flow and Gripshift are up, they are listed for the 8th.

http://www.tekkenzaibatsu.com/tekken5dr/_custom.php has customization lists and information.

If you want some help with the customizations and the Japanese characters...

Look no further! Click images for full version:

That's everyone!

NOTE:

- The scans that show the items do NOT show the items that were available from Tekken 5.0. So the only ones that have pictures are the new items for Tekken 5: DR.

- The item prices in the PS3 version of Tekken 5: DR are all half priced! For example, items listed at 100,000 in the images will appear as 50,000 in the actual item shop.

Anyone willing to share the game and I'll pay half what you paid for the download? Change the password of your account once it's downloaded

PM if interested

Speaking of Flow, it's the 8th and it's not up, WHERE IS IT???

When I enter billing info for the Hong Kong store and it asks for address, it makes me put in something for Hong Kong, what should I do?

Can I download the game through your account and pay half what you paid for it?
The work around posted here doesn't work anymore unfortunately. :(
If anyone is up for the offer and willing to use game sharing, I'll go into it with pkmn-source and pay for the game as well.
Sounds like a downloadable game to the hard drive from the PS Store. Heh, wonder if we might see more PS2/PSP games given a fresh coat of paint and sold this way? It actually isn't a bad idea, and might be great for games like Shadow of the Colossus which had frame rate problems, or titles like Psychonauts that got overlooked and is now being sold through Steam on PCs.
Psychonauts looked like a kind of goofy, fun game. I always saw it on Cheats! on G4 TV. Never did find it where i looked...odd as that may be...I did want to play it though =/
Speaking of Flow, it's the 8th and it's not up, WHERE IS IT???
Moved to the 15th.
