CAG Trader Ratings now up and running! DO NOT POST HERE UNTIL YOU READ THIS!
quick question, my feedback says 20, the the offcial user one says I have 21 (update 5/4) and my excel sheet says I have 22 ? so which on is it?
It says 22 in your feedback profile... the total is by unique users, so you have 22 trades with 20 different users.

Edited to add: So can we have a feedback thread so we can describe our trades in more than 80 characters and with the standard feedback format posts? I don't know how Shrike will manage without his epic feedback comments.

Further edited to add: Is there a way to make a link with the smiley faces in the feedback? I noticed a lot of people originally had links in their feedback but no comments, so there is no link in their feedback.

this is looking good cheapy, i just added a link to my sig to make leaving feedback for me uber easy, i think the easier you make it to leave feedback, the more often feedback will be left.

could there be a feedback option on the dropdown menu when you click on someones name?

OH, I'm sorry! I looked at it totally wrong. Thanks!

That's kind of defeats the purpose of the automated feedback system, doesn't it?

I thought the good thing about it being automated was so the mods wouldn't have to tally it up. I still like the feedback posts, and the new system offers linkage. Linking to the thread you did the deal in isn't very descriptive, since deals are usually done in PMs. Maybe there could be a forum for feedback alone, so people can make their own threads like in IGN (but I'd be fine with just a thread like before). Just a suggestion.

The object of this new feature is to reduce clutter, not to add to it. IMHO, your suggestion would be way too confusing. 80 characters is more than enough, and if anyone has any questions, they can PM and ask.

I am so stealing that idea of yours punq! ;)

(And feedback was left for Scorch...)

Very, very nice. Though it's too bad that Masha's gone. Now I'm one feedback lower than it would be otherwise. This'll definitely make leaving feedback a lot easier than the manual process that we had before.

To those of you who think you might be shortchanged in your current tally:

Keep in mind that the score you see now is the total number of unique users that have traded with you, NOT individual trades. That's why Shrike's reads 167, not 300+. I imagine the majority of you already know this, but it may explain some of the supposed shortages.

Why did I disappear? I sent my feedback in on time (28th I believe) yet I dont exist? Did somebody go to the Fish Under the Sea Dance with my mom instead of my dad and now Im paying for it? Ugh.

Thought I'd throw this in here:

I believe I have left everyone feedback that needed it from me... If I forgot anyone, or if I did a trade with you a long time ago, please send me a PM, and I will gladly leave feedback for you! :D (If your feedback was reset, it will be helpful if you let me know what we traded! )

Doing feedback like IGN (where everyone makes their own feedback thread) would create clutter, but I don't see how one feedback thread (like how we had it) would create clutter. As for linking to your feedback being confusing, I'm just suggesting it be an option, not that people have to do it. I personally like clicking the links in the feedback and seeing the specific feedback post (that shows what you traded and whatnot), like how a lot of people did it for their feedback conversion.

But half the point of this system was to get rid of those annoying long lists. Few people ever took advantage of them in the past and I would expect the same thing to occur in the future.

Okay, nobody agrees w/me... That's okay; I'm just overly enthusiastic about the ability to put links on your feedback in the new system :) (I also really like the editing)
Is it too late for me to submit my old feedback, I completely spaced on typing it up.
Ugh, same here! Any chance my little 'ol 11 feedbacks could be entered?
Any feedback with the date 5-02-2005 is imported.
Is this just a cosmetic issue?
Yep, cosmetic issue. My concern would be someone new to the boards wondering why so many of a trader's feedback have blank comments. Might lead them to think they are bogus.

EDIT: Ah, I just noticed the XLS template had a field to enter comments which I neglected to fill out. So I'm fine with leaving it blank for people that didn't bother to do that. I, incorrectly, assumed all imported comments were blank and the script could just update all comments with a date of 5/2/2005 to be the default text, but that wouldn't be fair to the people who actually filled that field in.

Great idea.

I'm not being allowed to link to my own feedback. I tried to do it but I was told I can't access that page.

Right you can't access it to leave yourself feedback, but you can put a link to it in your sig that anyone else can use. It's a little confusing, but it should work fine. Just take my link and replace my id with your id (You can get that from your profile page's URL.)

The new system looks great Cheapy! I like how we were able to incorporate our old feedback into it! I wish I had remembered to fill in the comments section though. Oh well. Thanks again! :D

I'd tried doing what you said. Can someone click the link in my sig to see if it leads to the right spot?

Yours worked for me. Wanna check mine?

Hey I just got a notification that someone left me feedback! That is one cool ass feature. Hopwfully that will help to remind people to leave people feedback for whomever they traded with.

Yeah, I love that feature too. I've just got done leaving feedback for most of the users I've traded with and hopefully, they'll leave me feedback as well.

Question: I had left feedback for Mkg12 before the new system. Through PM he told me he would leave feedback for me once the new system was in place. I just left feedback for that trade without realizing he had already carried over my previous feedback. Can this be fixed? :?

I added the trader rating score to the memberlist, so when you search for members on the Trader Ratings home page, you can easily see the rating (and link to that user's page).

I agree with you, I was actually going to suggest the same thing. Although, there wouldn't be much point to it if no one wants to use it. I may just put transaction details in one post of my trade thread to link to when I leave feedback.
I may just put transaction details in one post of my trade thread to link to when I leave feedback.
Yes, that was what I was going to suggest.

just like to say that this is really looking nice! i cant wait do some some more trades just so i can leave people feedback!!

/giddy

All the negative feedbacks listed in the last tally update have been found (where I could find them, as a few users have passed on, and I couldn't find one or two of the negatives), and the people leaving those negative feedbacks have been contacted via PM. A link to the negative trade in question, from the old feedback forums, plus a direct link to the other party's feedback drop page was sent in the PM.

I received a PM that I received a feedback from mkg12. i then decided to leave him a feedback, but somebody at cheapassgamer.com already did it for me. could a mod delete the one i made, there should only be one from me. thanks.

I just tried to, and for whatever reason I was unable to delete it. Either I'm doing something wrong, or you have to delete it yourself.

led, you must have been doing something wrong, i just deleted a feedback that i left for you (as a test) and a feedback banky left for you (again as a test)

leave a feedback for someone and try and delte it, it should work.
I got it, ericx. Weird that you can't do it Led.
Did you check the box?
The "Delete this feedback" box? I checked it, but when I'd submit, it'd ask me to fill in the other fields. ?
led, im sorry, but youre just no longer a mod, we couldnt figure out how to break it to you...

on a separate note: damn me for not knowing to send in my trades on time  ....i had no idea...i guess ill just go through all of my trades and releave feedback for everyone ive traded with...that'll send them a pm and hopefully they'll get the hint :bouncy:

Yeah, I redid all the feedback I left for people who didn't convert their feedback over. I figure it gives some people who deserve it a better score, and it gives a reminder for folks who didn't leave me feedback.

and I noticed that all the feedback that previously had blank comments but a link attached now say the word "Link" so people can access the link. Very cool!
