Looking like this is going to be quite the event.

To answer the question of how it's going to be run: after tonight I'll figure out how many people we have in, and we'll go from there. I have a pretty good idea, but if anyone has any suggestions feel free to post them.

Count me in-- although the tourney is 32, I'll be happy to play with any of you, add me up! Xbox is back to working order too, E3 fairy helped out :)
 
Question for those that have played (and this will have an impact on how the competition is run) - do games go until one person lays down all their cards, OR do games keep going until only one person is left with cards?

Linkin you may know as I saw you playing before I had to head in here to work--- is there an option to lay down multiple cards? Its really fun, but the fact that I can't bust 2-draw 2s on someone is a little disheartening.
 
I'm already laughing at the prospect of "Shit-talking UNO." It's annoying when strangers do it, but I'd probably just laugh my ass off if it got really bad during a CAG tournament match. "DRAW FOUR you fuckin ho!"

I have not got a chance to DL this yet how does "calling UNO" work do you have to play with the headset on, or do you have to hit a certain button when you only have one card left?

You have to push a button to call uno (without headset)...don't know if theres' an option to "say" it with the headset.

Also, has anyone tried a usb webcam to see if it works with this game?

Can't wait for the tourney!
 
Good luck downloading Uno.

The Halo 3 trailer annihilated XBL. I've had the download stopped so many times I've lost count. To make matters worse, the three times I've actually begun to download, I've had to start from the beginning again!

I downloaded the Halo 3 trailer quickly. Before I watch it though I want to download the rest of the trailers, and some of those are being difficult.

However, I can usually get it to start going by stopping the download and then restarting.

Will be downloading Uno shortly after the trailers are done. Prizes announced tomorrow.

The have an area that says "House Rules", not sure if it allows you to make your own rules or what, but the standard game, is just...standard.
 
I just recently finished downloading Uno (took forever). I'm ready for the tourney whenever it is. If anyone wants to play a few games later my gamertag is JDreborn.

I played a couple hours earlier with some friends and it was great times. House rules are nice because you can set the stuff to build so like if I put down a pick up 2 card and the next guy does, then the next guy takes all four. I love playing that way. We've already had it where three people in a row had Pick Up 4 Wild Cards and the fourth guy had to eat twelve cards at once.
 
Wow Im trying to download this for the FOURTH time...I keep getting disconnected, then it will restart at 5%....ARRRGGGHHHH
 
Yeah, as soon as this goddamn download finishes I'll start poking around in the rules. I'll try to come to some general consensus so everybody's happy, but I know some people will disagree with the rules set down. To make it easier I may just use the standard rules.

I really don't think they expected it to be as popular as it is and therefore didn't expect this many people to be downloading.
 
It's actually people downloading a lot of trailers and demos in general that's bogging the server down, this doesn't seem to be popular yet at all, there isn't a single other person playing online right now it seems.

Yeah I hear ya. I've been trying to get it and Lost Planet demo all day. Lost Planet finally cooperated a little bit ago and now it looks like Uno is moving as well.

It's nopt that your bad, it's just that like everything else, the CPU seems to be unfairly balanced in their favor.
 
At the moment everything is downloading really, really slow. Marketplace is on fire tonight so I kind of expected a few hiccups.
