CAG Video Game/Toy Drive for Child's Play Charity

Wow. You all met my challenge and even exceeded it! With time to spare even!

Thank you all for coming to help in this cause. I myself would like to see the expressions on their faces when they see this offering go through.

Congrats everyone!

Great job raising $700 more from just $800 a week ago guys. And much thanks to orthetic, defiance_17 and chickenhawk for drumming up awareness.

I donated through here and on Penny Arcade. I donated last year too and they raised mad amounts of cash. Its kinda sad that they seem to be having a harder time this year :( They haven't even hit the 200k mark when they intended to hit 300k.

I hope they make it, especially since they're helping alot more kids this year since they opened up to 4 more hospitals.

Hmm, seeing as we've already apexed that mark by a large degree, perhaps we'll see CAG mentioned as well. I think we deserve it. Hopefully they do to.
Is it too late to donate? I'm almost broke, but these kids really deserve it more than I do.
I don't know when the CAG Paypal account cut-of is (I assume it will be soon since Cheapy will be buying the stuff at the end of this week). But if you order straight off the Amazon wishlists, as long as the gifts arrive before Dec. 20th the hospitals will be happy.

Thanks Ledhed, I'll do that if I have to. Does anyone know for sure about whether or not PayPal donations are still being accepted?

I hope so. I'm broke ATM and want to donate some from my next paycheck this coming Friday. I'll do the Amazon thing if I have to, but I'd rather put some cash directly in the CAG account if possible.

Yeah exactly, same here.

There's nothing better than combining videogames and charity.

Nice! I hope they enjoy them!!! I am sure they will. Good work CAGs!!!!!!

maybe some sort of cheapass raffle too, besides donating money. People could win like cheap games, since people have so many unopened ones., or cheapass clothing. I know it sux having to give stuff away to fundraise, but you have to do something that gets the masses interested.

o man i feel horrible i missed out on this, i have a bunch of money sitting around in my paypal i really have no plans for. been too busy lately and havent really been on too much.
hey is this over with or can we still send some stuff in to someplace???
Check the OP for info how you can still contribute.

it'd be cool if we could do something totally huge for the hospitals next christmas. maybe shortly into the year we could start up a CAG savings account or something like that and link it to a paypal account and just donate throughout the year for the Child's Play drive. Talk about a helluva a christmas. We could make those kids feel more like home then anything.

Oh yeah, and way to go CAGs. All thoughs that donated, no matter how large or small, should feel really proud of themselves

nice job. nintendo consoles are the way to go for charitable giving: more systems for your $$! way to spread the cheapass love!
Just an update, Child's Play raised $310,000 this year.
While that's an amazing number, I think they said it was only up 60,000 from last year. It seemed like they had much more publicity this year as well as 4 more hospitals. While 300,000 is by no means a small number, I was expecting much higher compared to last year.
