LEAGUE RULES

League weeks run from Sunday to the following Saturday.
You will play with your teams own playbook.
Please mix up the playcalling(try to stay away from the money or glitch plays).
We will play at the default X-Box Live game settings.(you can play ranked or unranked games its up to you)
Please try to use your headsets during the games.
Please try not to run up the score if you are up by alot please try and go easy on the other owner.
The only stat that we are collecting is final score.
If you are having a problem getting a game in let me know.
And last but not least please have fun.
 
Just an idea to show that everyone is putting forth an effort, let us know when you PM your opponent and keep us up to date as to when you schedule your game for or if they dont respond after a while. With that said, I PM'd my opponent this morning and will post when we have our game set for.

Still nothing back from my opponent......so seeing how its been bout half a week and 2 games are done and thats it....I have a fear this isn't going to be a good season.
 
Practice sounds good...im a afraid ill suck big time this season. This is my first time playing on xbox, the controls are still so foreign to me. Add to that the new QB vision, man i got a lot of work to do lol
 
I overslept for my first game this morning after staying out way to late last night. I've been playing with my team lately and cant do shit. I hate the passing system this year, everyone i've played has just blitzes the shit out of me and Big Ben has such a lil throwing lane you have 2 press 3 buttons to pass and it's hard to get it off alot of the time. The precision stuff would be cool if you have a top level qb but otherwise it's crap and all the teams i roll with dont have a top qb...... I like ncaa's control scheme WAY better i rock at that game but suck at this one.

Anyway back on topic i pm'ed my opponent and waiting for a response...

I have some shit to do today and this evening but hopefully TheUnsane1 will be able to get together tonight around 6 or 7pm west coast time to play our game.
 
I am out of town but will try and get my game in Monday night, the Eagles owner has contacted me about our game a few times which is good. Remember will have untill next Saturday to get these games in so we have like 6 more days, so there no need to panic yet.

I feel the same way about the passing and I am the friggin Colts, its even worse with them because 75% off their plays are play action and hes sacked before the cone even comes back up.
 
Well mmn and I just had a close one. He won 19-13 with the game ending inside the 10 with me on offense. gg man.

I am horrible with the colts. I get killed using them worse then using teams like buffalo and detroit. There defense is horrid and any pressure on manning usually results in a sack for me. $hady if you run the ball for a good chunk of your plays with the steelers the passing game gets alot easier with short stuff, slants, and curls to ward. Most of the time you don't need to bother looking off your recievers in PA passes.

Yeah that was a great game. When I shanked that extra point I was worried that might come back to bite me in the ass. And when you got the hike off with 1 second left I was PRAYING my guys would step up.

Great game, lots of fun. We'll have to play again sometime.

Vikings 19 - Chargers 13. Can't get much closer than that.
 
After fighting through connection problems me and the Eagles owner played tonight, the Colts came out on top 17-14 on a 37 yard field goal with 4 seconds left on the clock.

p.s.
We played and it was 0-0 and we disconnected with under 30 seconds in the first half, so we went back and re-connected and just played till halftime with the ending score of 17-14 Colts.
 
Yeah, what is going on with the connection issues? I had to unplug my router and go directly from my modem into my Xbox before it would let me connect with the owner of the Chargers. Which is odd, since I was playing someone else over Xbox Live with the router connected just fine the game before.

EA's servers are ass.
 
Glad I've yet to have any issues with EA's servers, anything major anyways. Now I just need to hear from my opponent who I PM'd a week ago tommorow. How are we gonna things for people who dont play or try to play thier games?
 
Just looked at Daunte Devils profile, he hasnt been on CAG since a week ago when I sent him the PM. Hopefully he'll be on soon and we can get our game taken care of.
 
You guys have replacements lined up? Depending on how you deal with no shows, I'd like to jump in for 'em. Just got the game. Played in the ESPN NFL, NBA and NHL leagues before with some of you guys.

I apologize for my delay, but I have been so busy. I signed up for the league and then started working my new job the day after Madden came out. Between working full time + overtime and spending time with my fiancee, I have only gotten to play 5 games of Madden total since launch. I've had no time for games or the net, and I even had to drop out of the NBA 2K5 league. :(

But to all my future opponents, despite my busy schedule, I will make an effort to paln a game time as early as possible and stick to it.

Dont worry about it, real life is more important than a game. I understand being busy at work, trust me. Just make a honest effort to get your games in, even if you need to go into the next weeks schedule just let me know ahead of time.

Played my game against Dante Devil tonight, was up 24-7 with 17 seconds left in the game (and I had the ball) and the EA server crapped out. The game was 17 seconds until it was over so I'm pretty sure you can consider that game completed. Good game Dante!!!

It was a good game and I enjoyed playing you Kill3r7. I had no mic though because i broke the lil snap in thing last night playing BF2. I gotta get super glue today!

Game info:

Nice defensive struggle with Ed Reed picking me off and juking and jiving his way to the end zone for the first score of the game. A long pass to Hines Ward followed by a couple runs got me on the board. Then I recovered a fumble (or got int i forget) just before halftime and after going for it on 4th and goal with 3 seconds left in the first half the Bus got the go ahead TD. 2nd half was me not being able to move the ball because of his defense and him not moving the ball because i blitzed the crap out of him even hurting Kyle Boller for a series. :headache:

Steelers 62 yards - 2 ints thrown
Ravens 22 yards - 2 ints thrown and lost a fumble
(many sacks in the 2nd half screwed up his yardage total)

But yeah, I planned on playing sooner, but our schedules didn't match up... mostly because of me. It doesnt' help that we have a 3 hour time difference, though.

I feel your pain Matt, I work 3rd shift so my night is most everyone elses day! Although I do tend to keep a pretty f'ed up sleep pattern. I'm gonna try to play most of my games either friday, saturday or sunday if i can.

Week 2 Schedule is now up in first post, everybody plays this week. Unfinished week 1 games will have till the end of week 2 to be finished.
 
Masked Plague PM'ed me earlier saying he'd be available in a couple hours. I responded, but have gotten nothing in return. :whistle2:\

I'm leaving in an hour or two. Hope he gets on CAG soon.

Next week- Packers vs. Vikings! I'm looking forward to that.
 
If either of you have a router you might have to disconnect it and then try to play, me and the Eagles owner had the same problem the other night.
