CAG XBL Madden 2006 League-Week 2 Schedule is up-Post Results Here-LEAGUE UPDATE!!!!!

We tried to connect like 10 times. I do have a router, but I've never ahd problems with any games before. Never played Madden online, though.

I have never had a problem with connecting with my router till Madden this year. some games wont connect as long as the router is hooked up for some strange reason.
 
That sucks. I guess I will have to drop out of the league if that is the issue. I don't want to be the annoying guy that it is hard to get a game with.
 
No, I'm that guy because of my schedule. I went from being constantly available (single and unemployed) for the older leagues to rarely available (engaged and working).
 
Yeah if these router problems continue I won't be able to play. Luckily when I played the owner of the Chargers I was able to just bypass my router and go directly to my Xbox. The problem is, I'm moving into a new place tomorrow and the cable modem and wireless router won't be anywhere near my room, so I won't be able to bypass the router to go directly from the modem to the Xbox anymore.

HOPEFULLY it'll connect or I'll be able to figure something else out.
 
I've been playing through a wireless bridge and router with no problems at all. Hope this isn't something they just started.
 
my xbox is connected to my router and i sometimes hang up, my league game yesterday gave us troubles to start but we just exited and entered like 3 times and then it launched. Now tonight i was trying to play a friend and it was a bitch to start. After madden we went to ncaa and had no problems connecting. Madden servers are screwy!

Any word on the 2 unplayed games, the thread title says everybody plays? I got a week 2 game against a team who hasnt played their week 1 game yet. :(
 
Matt and I tried a million times to connect last night. The server woudln't let it happen. We both fiddled with our routers. We both made the effort. I am willing to try again though.
 
Thats what happened to me and mnm he ended up skipping the router and that made it work for us. Hopefully since I play you this week we don't have the same problems.
 
*-WEEK ONE UPDATE-*
Ok no word from the Redskins owner so far, and the Patriots owner(Renegade_Zero)will be a little behind since he just moved(which is fine he told me ahead of time). Thats the one unplayed game from last week that did not try to play at all, the other one(Raiders vs. Packers) at least you guys made a effort to play, but if you could do me a big favor and try to meet up again to play(and if no luck on connecting I will figure something out). If I do not hear from the Redskins owner in the next 2 days I will try to replace him with somebody else.
 
I wasn't really worried about Renegade because he's always around but i didnt recognize Goosedudes name. I thought he was someone new but now that i look he's a quiet long timer! ;)


I thought this league would be hectic untill i was talking to a friend today and he's in a league on another site with 32 owners who are playing a straight up online franchise with full trades, free agents and all games and rosters i guess have to be spawned off of one guys xbox who inputs all the roster moves etc and then downloaded and played by every owner for their game that week and then uploaded back to the commisioner guy. That would be freakin sweet if everyone can hold there interest and play all year!

To the owner, I disabeld my router and we still couldn't connect for the game yesterday. Actually we couldn't even connect for voice chat.

Yes just do me the small favor of trying again(with no router if you could, at least on one end), if you still cant connect I will figure something else out.
 
Well, I don't know what the deal is... Should I just try to play my week 2 game and see if that works? I'm available tomorrow for that one.

Yes just skip ahead to your week two game, but also try to hook back up to try your week one game again.

Hey, I won't be able to play until this weekend. Anytime Friday night, Saturday, or Sunday looks like it should be ok. Just let me know. Hopefully we can connect and not have to worry about router problems.
 
Would anyone be willing to play me in a practice game this week? Ideally I'd like to play someone who isn't going through a router and another who uses one to see if I have connection issues as well. I might be jumping into the league, I just want to see how the connection issues affect me.

I'd be willing to try, I go through a router but you and I have played games before with no problems. I have my league game tonight and then an NBA2k5 league game after it but if you're up for doing it any other night this week, let me know and I'll be glad to play.

Yeah, our games in the ESPN leagues went by fine. Tomorrow night works for me. I'll PM you with a time or just hit me up on Live. I'm usually on early evening CST.
 
Just played with mtimisone (Eagles) and the game got disconnected. Dont know if it should count or play a rematch but the score was Jets - 27, Eagles - 13 with about 2:30 left in the 4th quarter.
 
Lost 6-0 this week.....I swear I've never seen my players drop so many passes at times. Between Witten just letting a ball fly by him and Jones letting a screen pass hit him in the back of the head, I think I gained about 55 yards the whole game. Good Game though Eagle man.

Just played the new Rams owner in a scrimmage game, he is a top notch player. He had me guessing at the line with all the pre-snap adjustments he was making.

Hah...got lucky I even got into the endzone. You'd think a game between the Colts and Rams would have more than two offensive TDs total. Great game though.

Anyway Renegade (Pats owner) and I have PMed each other. He should be up by the weekend so that's the soonest we can get the Week 1 game in. Should I just go ahead and try to schedule the Week 2 as well or wait until I play Week 1? I'm assuming we're all just after the scores anyway so the order I play doesn't matter since I'm catching up anyway.

Yes just play your week 2 game first if you can.
 
My week 2 game is scheduled to be played on Saturday morning if he gets his internet connection up. Week 1 should be done by the weekend as well--also waiting on internet connection with Renegade.

Anyone up for a practice game tonight? I could use another game. Maybe around 9pmEST? I should be home around 5pmEST as well if anyone's up for a game.

I don't know what the hell EA has done to this game online but its unplayable. Not to take away from Weedy, but I never threw that as many INTs as completitons, and many of them were due to lag......and when both teams get about 60 total yards a game something is wrong.
 
I PMd the owner of the Packers a couple days ago saying we could play after my fantasy draft this afternoon but I havent heard back from him. I know hes a busy dude, so Im not stressing it. Hopefully we can get it done before tomorrow.

Well I still haven't heard from the Packers owner. So I dunno whats going on with that game. There's no point in being in a league where people can't ever respond to a message to figure out a time to play.

I just PM'ed the Packers owner to check his status, if he is a no go I just might have my brother-in-law take them over till another owner can be found if needed(he would be using my gamertag since he is staying at my house for a few weeks). And remember week 2 now goes till 9/10/05 because of the holiday, week 3 schedule will not be posted till 9/11/05.
