I've only listened to about half the show because I was really tired, however its been REALLY good so far, one of the best shows. Nelson is awesome, I don't think I ever truly appreciated him, like I watched pick up & play every week but never the podcast. The three of your worked well. Definitely get his ass on the show more often.
 
Wow the interview was damn good favorite show by a long show, Nelson is a really down to Earth guy sucks that I missed him when he had his show hopefully it starts up again!

The other part had a lot of energy and I thought it was a big comeback from a missed show

Just downloaded Sky Burger and played a round on the can. Pretty decent but it feels like I'll get sick of it after a couple days.

Cheapy you have to pick up Baseball Superstars 2009. I'm not a baseball fan but My League mode is the best thing on iPhone since Porn Hub's mobile site.
 
Speaking of all the Guitar Hero games, is there anyway for the CAG price tracker to differentiate between the Guitar Hero standalone games and instrument bundles?

Can Cheapy just have a button that says "tai is sick" or "I had lunch with Jean Snow" and then you guys can talk about video games instead of having the same discussion over and over again at the top of the show. I'd fast forward to the good part but the Cag player doesn't have a fast forward feature, and the quicktime app stops the podcast when I load a new webpage.

On another note, you might want to try putting Tai in a different daycare center. Something there I bet is making him sick.
 
I'm confused...I've been a parent for almost seven years and when my offspring gets sick I never feel tired after the ordeal. I just look at my spouse and tell her "Hey, you wanted to keep it and if they had birth control for men, I know I would not be here right now. Now go take care of this" than I go off and play video games all night and sleep in all day while she is up the whole time with a sick kid. For some reason, she left me a few months back....what a bitch she is.

I like Nelson, but why was he ripping on Wombat and calling him a girl, what a shitty guest that is. Hey, thanks for letting me on your show and I am going to put down your co-host and plug my new job. He was still entertaining and its funner to read posts of people bashing Wombat instead of them doing it to his face. Its easier to take in when one does not feel Wombats presence.

I thought the podcast was good but why bag on Wombat hes 70% I listen to the podcast and the rest is cheapyDs japan experiances and the song at the beggining of the podcast
 
Nice Cagcast, had a great time listening to it.

The intro is really great, I made to sure to congratulate the makers, and I'll also like to congratulate Cheapy for making me know about this. The Sonic rap is pretty good also!

Best part of the show: "8 figures? 10 million? Dude, come on, I'm not retarded!" . Wost part of the show: Nelson Rodriguez. I'm not a big fan of his atitude, too much cursing and macho attitude going on, which is why I never really enjoyed his podcast... though I really like listening to Nathalie!

About the ad, I don't mind. And I think Cheapy is right to put it in the beginning. Gamestop can be praised in a normal conversation if needed be, but X-blades, according to most people (never tried it myself, so no formal opinion) looks to be a bad game, so if he praised like Gamestop or Netflix, it would look like a sold-out position.

Quit hiding your 360 fanboyism, it is entirely showing this episode. I understand if you are a 360 fanboy, but there is no need denying it. I agree, I lean towards Sony - but I have never denied this!

Also, I felt really bad how harsh Minor Nelson was treating Wombat. Does he have some sort of grudge against him?

BUT, all in all. Awesome show!

Listening to the show, great interview with Nelson so far... Poor Wombat was teased in the segment tho. Who knew that the CAGcast helped influence the creation of Achievement Junkiez? ;)
 
I feel that Wombat is again making his trademark asinine statements. Sheva, while a overzealous healing moron, is not completely useless. I bet you Wombat died many more times than Sheva when playing the game. That being said, Wombat's storage vagina was the highlight of the podcast.

Cheapy, if you feel i'm too powerful in RE5, i can always stay back and let you advance and be your backup. it might help you adjust to the game better. i'll admit i'm pretty "jacked up"...lol
 
I understand CAGs stepping up to defend Wombat from someone who seems to be an outsider of the show, but if you listened to the entire interview, it's obvious that they're all friends. Just dudes raggin' on one another.
 
Gotta say, a down episode in my book. Didn't care for the interview (I just don't find Nelson or the Achievement Junkie podcast even remotely interesting), and otherwise just sounded low-energy and kind of like neither of you actually wanted to do the show.

You guys commented at the beginning of the show about the black jokes. I'm black (I'm also white) and I have experienced racism on both sides. I was not offended by the remarks made in a previous episode, in fact it did get a small chuckle out of me. I love the show, you guys do a great job, for the rest of you listeners incensed by the off-color humor, lighten the fuck up!

I've gotten 1000x worse in real life since I was a infant (it's a sad sick story, don't ask). This show is about gaming and there is a lot of good humor if you're willing to grow up and not be babies about it when these two are clearly just kidding around. This was not intended to stir up a hornet's nest, and I've spoken out about this issue on other forums when it's clearly a matter of racism and not just a couple of guys goofing around on a mic. I'm also sure I'm not the only black guy that loves the show where the others find reasons to whine about nothing.

Keep up the great work guys.

Just wanted to praise this episode, the interview with Nelson was very entertaining, with the good-natured ganging up on Wombat, and his taking it well.. And I enjoyed his interesting peek into the inner workings of Microsoft and some of the inter-group competition. Hope he gets an invitation back!

The Chinatown Wars sales numbers were surprising - I tend to chalk a good chunk of that up to the ease of DS piracy, but then again it doesn't seem that the DS audience as a whole is as 'need it on launch' as we are used to seeing on consoles. I'm sure it will continue to sell well and turn out to be a success. I've never really followed DS sales numbers, are there that many games which come out of the gate quickly, besides the Pokemon types?

I was a little dismayed to hear both Cheapy and Wombat so dismissive of GTA:CW, and I have to say it really is a terrific DS game, and to everyone, I really recommend giving it a try. I ran into the same GTA IV tedium as everyone else about halfway through, and wasn't expecting that much from this iteration. Yet it hasn't left my DS in a month, and it works great for 5-minute quickies as well as more lengthy sessions. There are a ton of improvements that scream to make the jump back to the next console versions - restarting missions is quick and not irritating at all; the option (why is it not default?) to make the GPS draw a Fable 2-like 'golden path' on the road is great (allowing you to drive watching the screen instead of the minimap like I always seem to do in GTAs); even losing your wanted level is made fun with the new cop-disabling mechanic.. It's amazing what they were able to do graphically, how the classic GTA sense of humor somehow still comes through in this format, and how they seemed to heed the IV complaints and refocus on fun.

Just overall a worthy entrant into the GTA series and one of the best DS games out there, again I really recommend giving it a spin someday when an opportunity arises.

Cheapy just wanted to let u guys know your the shit and the only video game podcast i listen to. My question is what sports teams are you and Wombat into. I know you live in Japan now but when u lived in Long Island what sports teams did u guys follow. Also what are your favorite video games?
 
A fine episode, though I didn't care for the interview. This is not because there was anything wrong with Nelson or how you handled it. I just don't like interviews in my podcasts. I would prefer a normal show. If you do want to do an interview, make it a special episode. (Note that this only applies to separate interviews. Guest hosts are fine).

As for Wolverine wearing a helmet in the cartoon, remember that the audience is kids. While he doesn't need a helmet, those young people watching do. Its a subtle lesson being taught: "if Wolverine wears a helmet despite his healing factor, maybe I should wear one when I ride my bike."
 
Really liked the CAGcast this week. Unlike lebkin I do like interviews in my CAGcast as long as they are good just like the one with Minor Nelson. I really think Minor Nelson had good chemistry with you guys and made the show very enjoyable. That sponsor at the beginning of the show was WEIRD.

.99 cent apps can be really good, I got Geodefence for .99 and that is definitely worth more than that. It is the most played app on my iPhone.

Finally, others who understand that digital distribution will not be taking over anytime soon, if ever. You two seem to have a decent understanding of the retail and marketing aspects of video games. Wombat, we are definitely on the same wavelength on this matter. It almost seemed as if you were reading one of my posts on the matter verbatim. It's nice to hear a podcast where the people aren't just sounding off with their DD dommsaying from inside their sealed-off bubble.

Cheapy ought to actually respond to things though. Like when my post was removed for a reason that has nothing to do with community guidelines. He got his shit taken care-of but, doesn't care about anyone but, himself. What a meathead.
 
Hey guys great show like always but there were a few things that bothered me.
1. Wombat says how he thinks that the poor sales of China Town Wars are due to piracy when the number 2 game sold in March was Pokemon Platinum, a DS game. This game I would assume would be just as easy to pirate. So I really don't understand how you could justify the poor sales to piracy.

2. What the hell was up with Nelson and Wombat. I sensed some hostility between the two. Whats going on with that? I don't know if you are messing around or you two don't like either. Just curious about that

1. The audience attracted to GTA CTW seems like it is more likely to pirate games than the audience Pokemon is aimed at. Most of the people playing GTA are going to be people that know a lot more about the gaming industry as a whole. The pokemon audience on the other hand is about 80%(my estimate) children and their parents usually purchase a game for them and I am pretty sure most parents don't know how to pirate DS games. I have seen a lot of people with flash carts at Univeristies and I have never seen a kid with a flash cart in Elementary, Middle or High School.

2. I think they were messing around. Nelson did say he kept in touch with him more than with Cheapy so I think they were just messing around. On the other hand who doesn't like to atack Wombat ;)? He is Mr. Me Me Me! after all.
 
I think i might be the last black guy listening to the podcast. For the record i wasn't offended by the last racial joke. But i will be taking the nightstick to the white women for that one :p.... keep up the entertaining podcast.

i don't know why people get offended so easily and if that is the case you shouldn't be listening to the CAGcast in the first place. Good to know that Cheapy and Wombat understand that and don't stop because a couple of people get offended.
