CAGcast #23: Sickcast

Dang it, these late week releases of CAGcasts are killing me. Now I have to figure out a way to McGuyver this cast so that I can listen to it on my way home from work tonight.

Let's see, I have the following at my disposal:

1 PC that will not allow me to download mp3s
1 Windows formatted iPod that I don't want to reformat
1 USB flash drive
1 PSP with Pro Duo card (but no USB cable)
1 compact flash card
1 Pocket PC with a dead battery and no way to charge it

Later in the day I will also have access to the following (but not the Windows PC):

1 iMac with a compact flash card reader but no CD-burning capabilities

My car has a CD-deck that has an auxiliary headphone jack input and it also plays mp3 CDs.

Cheapy and Wombat have issued the challenge, it is up to me to find a way.

Can you burn CDs with the PC that you can't download mp3s on?

If so, we should be able to get someone to rename the CAGCast to something like CAGCast.dat and host it so that you can download it, rename it, and burn it.

Yes, I can burn cds with the PC that I can't download mp3s on. I had actually thought about someone being able to rename the file extension on the cast, but didn't know if it was worth it to have someone rehost the file.

Could be an interesting thing to do in the future though, Cheapy. Could be the "work friendly" version of the podcast with a .dat extension.

Ok, can you download any of these types of files?

.wmv .avi .mpg .mpeg .mov .asf .asx .mp4 .3g2 .mid .wav .midi?

If so, I can just rename the CAGCast to one of those extensions and upload it to PutFile.

Pretty good cagcast considering you feel sick cheapy. Oh and wombat the EA game with the four army people with their own speciality is General Chaos, I remember playing that game to death with my friend and we would always try to figure out different ways to take out the other army. One quick question though what was that song that is played in the beginning because it sounds familiar.

Mexican Flyer - aka theme to Space Channel 5

KH2 "Easyness" honestly just because you don't use offensive magic doesn't make it an easy game. I went through FF8 without using offensive magic...doesn't mean it was easy.

I too pray for a Mutant League Revival, that or another Basewars.

Nice Cagcast. The new releases lasted F-O-R-E-V-E-R . I also got the Dustin Hoffman reference because of Clerks: Animated series. You're so getting sued.
And lastly Kindom Hearts 2 does have lightcycles. Not sure if they are in-game but I saw a screenshot.

Oh, I forgot to mention that your wife let you name the dog Zelda so you couldn't give your future children video game related names like Zelda. You can't call both your daughter and the dog Zelda after all. Who knows maybe she didn't care but you know how a woman's mind works: it's a mystery.

Also the door problem you had in KH I never had. I would just jump over the enemies or let them come towards me. Still a bitch I agree.

Im 16 hours into RE4 for the Cube and im still on the first disk. I heard it only took about 20 hours, but unless the second disk is well on the short side, it will take me closer to 30 hours.

Yeah I'm on 18 hours and not on the 2nd disk either. That's not including the 30,000 thousand reloads I did. That's probably why I haven't touched it in 9 months.

Uh...yeah, Wombat, are you sure you were playing Kingdom Hearts? I don't remember those "god-awful" load times you speak of...and I'm pretty sure to get from room to room you run into the doors and then go through...not press the attack button...but still, that somewhat explains your complaint about moving from room to room when you dont want to.

I do however agree about he bad camera...but still, maybe you need to put the game in and experience those load times for yourself since I guess you "forgot"

I guess you guys kind of missunderstood my personalities question. It was more related to the game industry itself, like Ken Kutaragi, Itagaki of Team Ninja, etc. not necessarily media personalities. It doesn't really matter, just clearing up what I meant.

We need to create a list of the games that Cheapy and Wombat aren't interested in, just so we can know what to harp on them about.

I do admit that it was a while ago, but yes you are right about the door thing, it drove me nuts, and just because the load times didnt seem like long loads to you didnt mean they didnt feel long to me. Especially when you had to wait after being forced through a door you didnt want to go through and then go thought it again to get back to where you were.
