CAGcast #5: Tokyo Game Show 2005
I'm glad to hear the 360 won't have any decent software at launch.
Thus the reason for creating/buying a backlog of cheap Xbox games to play until the price drops and some games worth playing come out for it.
I would still like some more thoughts on the DS vs. PSP and a disscussion about the lack of GCN games this Holiday.
Why waste time talking about GC games when they postpone every other thing that is suppose to come out for it or cancel it all together.
Great job! Don't miss Wombat5277's flying snot hitting the mike.
I agree. Given the lackluster Xbox 360 showing at this year's show, perhaps the most exciting occurence during the broadcast was the elusive wombat sneeze. (I've never hear a wombat sneeze before. . .) :D

Nice work once again. I'm thinking you should do a 24 hour a day CAGcast... "Well, we're still on. Three hundred and forty-six consecutive hours, and all because of one little boy who... who WON'T LET ME STOP!!! Anyway, now let's go over and see if Sideshow Mel has any more of those legal over-the-counter wake-up drugs of his!"

If we could we would, damn day jobs, anyone want to hire us, anyone, I want to live the Bonerland dream that "some guy" invisioned back in 1492

:rofl: Love the show. Good info like always and it was sweet how you and Cheapy could chat together for the cast even though he was roughly thousands of miles away.

I guess in kind of a way this was a test run on how the show will be in about a month when Cheapy moves to Japan.

Actually i think the lack of PSP games is a better topic and the lack of good xbox or xbox 360 games is a better topic, both of which were covered. I think some DS coverage would be nice, with over 10 games with great potential coming out within the next few months....but it would be better to speak of after they are out :p

I've got to admit: I'm addicted to the CAGCast. I've checked the site every time I was online last week to see if the new one was posted. Another great show--you guys should be commended and given a medal ceremony similar to the one at the end of the original Star Wars movie. I also would like to hear more DS vs. PSP discussion, as I'm interested in both systems but will probably get only one. Also, I love the preview of games coming out in the next week. Can't wait for the next CAGcast--keep up the good work.

Luke = Wombat
Han= JimmieMac
CheapyD = Chewie

I don't recall seeing CheapyD in Star Wars or hearing Chewbacca on the CAGcast... hmmm...

Could Wombat please not talk over Cheapy D every other minute?

Maybe it's cause they're not int he same studio, but man...let Cheapy talk.

Normally I don't interrupt as much, but Cheapy was having hard time hearing me and like Ive said before its not easy running a board and keeping the show up and moving, especially when your host is a few thousand miles away.....end defensive rant.

on a side note I will happily be Luke Skywalker, and the thought of a bald wookie is funny as hell

Back then CheapyD didn't shave daily or know english.
He was raised by bears and found by Geogre Lucas on a camping trip.
I kid of course.

That seems to be typical of all past systems. I'm sure there will be plenty of good titles by the time the PS3 launches.

Awesome show guys. I have to say my expectations for the Xbox 360 are really low now. That's probably a good thing...

Anyway, enough griping about wombat's "interruptions" already. It's called banter, and it's what makes these CAGcasts great. This one especially needed it, 'cause Cheapy didn't seem to have the same level of energy as previous CAGcasts. Waking up at 7:00 for a recording halfway around the world has that effect I guess. :D

That's five for five. Keep 'em coming...
Where did you hear that?
All of CheapyD's reviews of games were on the order of everything being a rehash of current franchises or nothing groundbreaking.

If the 360 has nothing amazing at launch, it isn't like this will be the first console to launch with a lackluster groups of titles.

The smart thing to do with your 360 is to dump it on eBay for a 50-100% profit and reinvest in a large group of current generation games that will keep you busy until the 360 is 365 days old.

Yeah, I forgot Halo 3.
Normally I don't interrupt as much, but Cheapy was having hard time hearing me...
There was a technical problem on my end, which I think was caused by my hotel's lackluster (but free) connection. There was half a second delay before I could hear what Wombat was saying.

Thanks for listening.

Are you thanking Wombat for listening? :lol:

I didn't even bother to look at the 360 area for more than 5 minutes. It just doesn't interest me in the least.

Luckily it was next to SEGA's AMAZING booth, which introduced me to 20+ games I MUST own! :D

great cagcast!

i liked cheapy's first impressions of the 360 games. honestly, it's very hard to get excited about the next gen games from that system. i know it's not fair to ciriticize them without a finished product, but the more i see and hear about the 360 games, the more i feel like upgrading my pc.
