how wsa i gifted brady i never had brady wtf are u talking about this is wut im talking about people talking not knowing wut they are talking about add him to the committee
well my 1st round pick was a waste i pick the guy the jets want and he sucks so theres no way the committee will let him be part of the trade he worse the hill so hes worth nothing even though that who the jets wanted to draft. stuck with this god awful contract. wish the committe would make there final thoughts on the trade i put up before the draft that got put on hold.
so ur saying my first rounder and hill counts for nothing even though thats who he wants he asked for him and lawsons not a player makers. and 3rd rounder for a 75 overall when i traded for a 75overall with a second rounder and it got approved. ur not really making since plus kenny britt has a low injury ratings. and u only point out hill worst attributes wut about 94 spec catch and his speed that counts for nothing
Dude, you tried to make a trade and a majority of people deemed it unfair. Move on already.
alright well i guess ur right time for plan b i will just sign revis when hes a free agent then since the jets said they cant afford to sign him next season
How's everybody sit in terms of total players? I actually have 53 after the draft, so I'm good.
I think we should do a round or two of free agency in a draft style just due to some of the big names that are still available (and the fact that we're really in no hurry with the holiday coming up). My opinion is the best way to do this would be based on salary cap room. To me, the logic is in a negotiation setting, the teams with the most cap space SHOULD win the player anyway. So, in a first come first served format, it's reasonable to let the team's with the most room pick first. Does that sound reasonable to everyone?
my vote doesnt matter but i think just open it up. the people that are around will get the players they want its fair. just like real life the person that approachs first gets first bids usually
I'm sitting at 53 I believe. I think it should be at most 1 draft style round, but a free for all is fine too. It should be said though that "FA will open up at X time" so that folks are aware.
just open it now everyone for the most part is around not everyone is going to be happy. there good players in there not great players no big time game changers or anything
Yeah, I say free for all. If people didn't get those players before, then why should the have priority now? Just make the best offer for a player.
There's no offers to be made. It'll ask if you want to sign them for a set amount, and you just press A.

Well, in defense, some of us had 9 mil in cap tied up in the Wallace offers that could have been used on other players.

Isn't hat part of the risk you chose to take in going after him?
just make an
a draft order with 8 first picks going first then 9-16 , 17-24- 25-31 ( second fastest but still slow)
b free for all (makes things go by faster for people that want to play)
c largest cap space goes first same order as draft still order only with cap numbers (takes longer)
I think a free for all is fine.
Also, why was my trade not approved or denied before the draft? Were there other trades that y'all didn't get to?
The only apprehension of going to a free for all is just that all these players will only be asking for one year deals now. I feel like the reason a lot of these players didn't get signed before is because they were asking for large contracts. Now, you can get a guy like Umenyiora, Sheldon Brown, etc. with a one year investment.
The other idea that was raised was basing it on who needs the most players. ie. a team with only 42 players on its roster would get to choose before a team with 50 players on its roster. Thoughts?
after this stage is it pre-season? i wanna get some practices in with the new rookies
i agree can we advance so will u guys are here trying to figure shit out that really doesnt matter to me either way id like to just practice with my team get back to the fun shit like playing the game instead of talking about it. im pretty much burnt out on trades and shit like that

Only problem with that is I feel like you would be rewarding people who didn't plan ahead. I made sure my roster was pretty much set before going into the draft. If a team has something like 10 spots to fill, that is really bad planning and shouldn't be rewarded by letting them get good players on a cheap 1 year deal.
I don't like free for all either. Then a team that is already set could just grab guys they don't really need just because they can.

Record base, but can't sign a player as a starter over a player that you already have if your own player is a certain OVR? Say like 83? That'll stop people from signing people they don't really need, just want to want.
HB Darveon Jones 92 speed, 70 catch, 83 catch in traffic.
WR Allan Johnson 90 speed, 89 catch, 89 catch in traffic, 82 spectacular catch
TE Chris Martin 89 speed, 83 catch, 77 run block
CB Reggie Carruthers 89 man coverage, 96 speed, 74 catch
And of course the second overall pick, Tolliver Burk, 87 overall, 94 tackle, 89 pursuit.

I agree with this. What we should all do is post (or PM) 2-3 positions of need (whether its depth, want a better OVR for starter, etc) and then form groups off of that.

Well except I got shutout out on most of the free agents I shot for. So I guess I should be punished for people signing players they didn't even need?

WHY WAS MY TRADE NOT APPROVED OR DENIED BEFORE THE DRAFT?
I have asked this nicely about 3 times now, all I want is an explanation of what happened. I think anyone would be pissed if there trade didn't get approved or denied before the draft.
Yeah I'm pretty happy with my draft:

Yeah, but really you could make the same argument about cap space. Either way, teams need players for one reason or another. If we keep analyzing it, we'll run ourselves in circles. I'll come up with an order later tonight and post it. We'll also be advanced to the pre-season at that point.
What people need to understand is that there's not going to be a huge rush on pre-season games. We MIGHT advance to Week 1 before New Year's, but the deadline for Week 1 definitely won't be until we're sure everyone is back and able to play. These next couple weeks are really just going to be a feeling out kind of thing.
