if anyone is on madden right now and could tell me the salary that someone wanted that would be great. i only have so much cap room so i am trying to decide between two players.

Eh...I don't know if I'd say I'm "deep" at receiver. I just have a lot of guys, lol. I actually might cut one of them to make room for Woodhead.

I was going to tell you that there's also a "salary" tab on that same page, but then I saw that instead of showing you relevant information like what contract they want, it only illustrates that none of the free agents have a contract. It is literally a table of 0's, lol. Bravo, EA.

Ya I saw that when I was looking for it and was like seriously EA? No duh they are making 0's across the board they are sitting at home unemployed :cool:

Once free agency opens up, do we have to post here first before picking up the player?
Also, I know I can look at free agents on the website...am I also able to sign them through the site?

No. Once free agency opens up, you don't need to post who you're signing. Trades, of course, will still need to be reviewed. But teams can act freely concerning free agents.

As for signing them on the website, ballinhun8 had problems with that yesterday. He said it wasn't working. Bottom line, the website really doesn't seem like it's good for much this year.

So is that something that will happen this afternoon? Because I still need a bucket load more players, and I'd like to be able to knock that out today, but I'll be at work tonight and since it apparently doesn't work from the website, I can't do it there.

Yeah. Give me like 2-3 hours and then I'll open it up and switch the CPU teams to autopilot so everybody can get their game played too. I'd like to have Preseason Week 1 games done by tomorrow if possible.

I am having this same concern as well. I do a lot from my phone so it would be nice if we could say who we are signing on the boards if we can't do it from the website. I also have to fill out my roster but if we can't do it from he website then I'll be SOL.....and that's not a position I wanna be in.

The thing is, you're SUPPOSED to be able to do it from the website. The option is there to sign free agents. If it's not functional, I'm not really sure how much I can help people. We need to move on from this free agency period soon because I need to switch our CPU teams to autopilot so people can play them...and when I do, they're going to fill in their own rosters. None of this is a perfect (or even a good) design. But it's what EA gave us.

The Pats miss Welker as no.1, but in my offline franchise he wanted $12 mil a year. I understand the decision to not keep him around at that price.

That's why I am barely squeaking by in cap space. After this trade I should have just enough room to pick up the backups I need. I am wondering how all these trades will affect me next year as I now have Bowe, Haralson (now my starting ROLB), Justin Smith, David Akers (if he doesn't retire), I think Donte Whitner and possibly 2-3 other players I want to resign.
 
Do free agents get any guranteed money? If so, I'll pick up a few since I think I will have a few million to spare, but I need more I could just cut them to free up space if there is no guranteed money.

Didn't see this post. Yeah, that's fine. Puts me in less of a rush to turn the game on anyway, lol. So, with that, free agency is now wide open. Sign whoever you want. Just keep your finances in mind. We really don't need another Panthers situation.

Hes actually a decent QB on here and better than the Qbs left in FA.

Sweet found a little gem in the QB deparment. Jay Sullivan ( Rookie) THP 92 SAC 77 MAC 85 DAC 75. He'll be starting a couple of years. Lol
 
I am really pleased with my team all of my starters are in the 80's or 90's. Lol

Well except the offensive line. Lol
 
Wound up snagging most of the remaining free agents I wanted, including Sheldon Brown and Eric Weems (95 return), so I'm at 53 players.

I picked up a few, put me at 50. I am going to wait till I put the Bowe trade through to pick anyone else up. I am sitting at 8.67m or so should be enough to sign Bowe, if not I will definitely make room. We try to put the trade through but he had already played his game. Will try to get the trade through first thing when we advance.
 
My defensive line is kind of ridiculous. Peppers, Umenyiora, Bannan, and Shaun Rogers. My backup DEs aren't too bad either: Idonije and Shea McClellin, who plays SO MUCH better than his 75 OVR. I also put Maybin at DE in practice yesterday and he had 5 sacks.

Also, I got 2 picks in the first three rounds. If I have any cap space left I'll be looking to move them.
 
picked up some interesting project players. My back up LBs are avging at 88 spd 91 acc. Just gotta work one a few skills, but those are the most expensive to build up.

My god I need a returner since SOMEONE took Weems! :D

I don't know where my TE went that I tried to sign online. I hope no one picked him up. He isn't on anyones roster but doesn't appear for me in game or on the site anymore
