CAGLS: Madden 13 Gentlemen's League - We Finished! Thanks for Playing!

No chance in hell the Vikings win a playoff game in Lambeau with Ponder at QB. Also did anyone watch the Cincy offense the last two weeks? Their offense got them 3 points against the Steelers and they had trouble moving the ball against the Ravens' backups.

Texans
Packers
Colts
Seahawks

I'm going with:

Texans over Bengals (though I'd love a Cincy upset)
Ravens over Colts (Luck wont have any luck in the playoffs)
Packers over Vikings (Ponder is not a playoff QB)
Seahawks over Redskins (closest game of the 4)

Chuckstrong! I also feel like the Colts have to play the Broncos this year, which is why I think the Ravens should win that game but for whatever reason they will not.

I approve these picks

Games remaining:

Buccaneers @ Panthers
Raiders @ Broncos
Steelers @ Colts
Ravens @ Browns
Cowboys @ Jets

3 of these teams are currently CPU controlled.

I smell an early advance! Get those games in!

Edit: Some of those guys haven't been on for a few days, ie Jets. Raiders and Broncos have been on today so hopefully they got in touch with each other.

Yeah, part of that is probably my fault for staying with the policy of having people wait to play their CPU games. I think at this point though, if you have a CPU game, it's probably ok to just play it whenever you can. In the first season, I feel like we were more trying to avoid having ANY CPU games...but with as many open teams as we have now, it's kind of an inevitability.

Even if somebody comes in and decides to take a team, at worst, it's only one additional game they missed out on. So, yeah...official league stance from this point forward is if you have a game against a CPU team, you can play it immediately.

Hey N8 I was wondering what would happen if for example your waiting for your oppenet to play a game but he's "busy" and can't play. I think the person waiting for them should be able to play the cpu since he was waiting for his oppenent for days but he was "busy" so he coudn't play instead of simming it because one person coudn't play. Idk if this has happened in the past but I was just thinking this today. Lol

Just finished the Broncos vs Raiders (CPU) game. I was disappointed that Flyersfan was unable to play. He got home from a family emergency in Connecticut this morning, is in the process of moving, and is having connection issues. Hopefully he's able to get everything resolved!

The policy for teams that have an owner is that you wait until the day of the deadline before requesting to play the CPU. What needs to happen though is proof that an effort was made on your part to schedule the game (ie. if you're in here throughout the week letting us know that you've PM'd your opponent, letting us know if he missed a scheduled time, etc.). What shouldn't be happening is just coming in the day of the deadline saying "Can you put _____ on autopilot?" But if it's the day of the deadline and you're telling me you STILL haven't heard anything from your opponent, then allowing you to play the CPU is definitely justified.

Yeah, definitely. Best wishes to Flyersfan, and I hope everything works out for him. Obviously real life and family comes first. His team will be right here waiting for him whenever he's able to rejoin us.

did anyone in here do the nfl playoff fantasy challenge for 3 super bowl tickets in 2014 free round trips free hotel stay?

Yeah, I though the policy was to wait as long as possible to play games vs CPU. I could have played Steelers vs Colts yesterday. Now, after several beers during the Packers game tonite, I'll be in no shape to play anything afterward. I'll try to get it in tomorrow morning.

Originally, it was. It's kind of just a shift in thinking at this point, and recognizing that the likelihood for filling some of these teams probably isn't too high. I think we're at the point where allowing the games to be played quickly is of a greater importance than hoping someone comes along who wants the team. No big deal though. Playing it tomorrow morning is totally fine.

If you don't buy the $40 ones I will :D

anyone have bold predictions for todays games?

who has more TDs out of the rookie QBs? Luck Wilson RGIII or maybe even Cousins if RGIII goes down? this does include both running and passing TDs

He was found guilty? When did he do his jail time? Where did he serve? In Baltimore or Atlanta where he was accused?

Hmmmm, I must have missed it when that other guy wearing #52 on the Ravens was winning DMVP and SB MVP in 2000.

Sounds like someone is a Ravens fan :D

No, I'm a Bears fan through and through.

But the Ravens have a ton of players that I'm a fan of. But for the playoffs I'm rooting for Baltimore and Denver. Which sucks cuz if they play each other next week then one of the teams I want to win it all will be eliminated.

From the guy who thinks Jay Cutler is an elite QB. Next, you'll tell us OJ Simpson is your grandpa.

What does saying Cutler is an elite QB have to do with anything? Are you trying to say you know more then the law does? Something that judges and lawyers were not able to find Lewis guilty of?

Oh you must be butt hurt that your Titans (or were you a fan of the Rams back then, since somehow hopping on bandwagons is your thing) were never able to defeat the Ravens.

And OJ my grandpa, man you are reaching with your corny jokes. Guess that's what sounds funny to hicks from the midwest. Congrats tho, I'm sure that family lineage of yours will unfortunately continue :applause:
What does saying Cutler is an elite QB have to do with anything?
It just lets everyone know you're a dumbass.

Lewis was never found guilty because he was never tried for murder. He immediately dimed out his friends for a lesser charge on himself.

If you can't see the parallel between Ray Lewis and OJ Simpson, you're dumber than your Jay Cutler man love could ever express.

Don't try to question my football knowledge if you are taking stuff out of context. It's pretty easy who knows football here and doesn't let emotions and dislikes for people cloud their judgement.

Just because Cutler is a douche to the public is why people didn't acknowledge him as an elite guy. At the time I wrote that he was elite tho, he was one. But he disappointed me towards the latter of the season and he is just outside top 10 now. He has been too successful the last few seasons to just not think he was a top guy. With the little talent in playmakers he had around him outside of Forte, he made it work.

And that's what I was trying to say. Lewis was never found guilty. He was dumb to try to protect his friends and it got him into worst SHIT then he needed to be in.

I thought they traded for Marshall, also OJ was never found guilty either...

I think it's all a joke man calm down

One went to trial and had to hire a defense team, and was NOT GUILTY.

One did not rat on his friends, got in some heat, and did not go to trial. So, never was Charged with anything.

IS it that they are just players you do not like as people?

Something else you need to point out? Or is your obsession with trying to be funny and "The man" in this league that serious that you need to try to be right in everything you say?

Hey, I mean he was 10-5 as a starter. Somehow that was only good enough for 3rd in the division and 7th in the NFC. Just a tough year overall.

Well, I guess some people just don't believe in our judicial system.

The people who found OJ NOT GUILTY, were our peers so can't get mad for something he DID NOT DO.
