Yeah i remembered you saying that earlier in the thread, so i knew you wouldn't. I just went through the list and tried adding everyone and just didn't think about it then.

For Headkilla, yeah that could be the situation i just thought it was weird he hadn't been on xbl since 7th but if that's the case, it makes sense.

And now that you mention it, i remember someone added me too. I checked my friends list and his name is swift fix. There is a space in between swift and fix.
 
It seems that EA botched pre-existing injuries, and even with them turned off, the game won't let you use those players. Way to go, EA. Because of this, I think injuries should definitely be off for the preseason. No sense in losing any more players for no damn reason.

It's weird that there not in there because they don't show up in the injury report. What does it do, just not allow you to put them in during a game? Pretty shitty for the Ravens with Suggs. Any other big names out because of it? I wonder if Gb will be missing Bishop? Those are the two biggest names i can think of.

EDIT: and back to your point, i doubt anyone will mind that injuries will be off for preseason. But speaking of preseason, this was brought up in the main franchise and should be brought up before we get going, how much should we play our starters? Every franchise i've done, i've allowed the cpu subs to go through with the exception of Kickers and Punters unless i had a backup kicker or punter.

I guess it just won't allow you to put them in the game. I really don't know how this stuff gets overlooked. All you have to do is actually test it to find out. But I guess that says a lot about EA's QA process.

As for subbing, everybody should play their subs as the game brings them in. If the argument for not having injuries and for going through these preseason games at a quicker pace is that they don't matter, it wouldn't be fair for people to double up on XP by leaving their starters in the entire game.

All right, I got bvharris to fill in for DVO while he's gone...that way we won't have to worry about the CPU signing players for him. He said he'd even be willing to play the Bengals' preseason games, so if you play them, contact BV.

Also, the Panthers owner joined the league without creating a coach (he just joined as Ron Rivera). Not how we're doing things. You've been booted and re-invited. Please follow instructions this time.

I guess I'm also going to send out another round of PM's to the people who have yet to join. I'm trying to be lenient with people since we're just getting started, but it definitely won't be like this all season.
 
Ok, "2nd Notice" PM's sent out to the people who have yet to join. Hopefully this will be completed by tonight. As I said, I'm trying to be lenient with people, but taking two days to accept an invitation is a little disappointing.

Head coach Deevee Oh is ready to fill in admirably. And man, I didn't realize what a good defense this Bengals team has. Kind of makes me wish I'd taken a longer look at choosing them in the other league.

n8, as we found out in the other league, the CPU won't sign players until after the first week of pre-season, so if you want to advance to week 1 you should be fine. We did so while still waiting on several people to join.

Edit: We have another spot in the other league which needs a temporary sub (probably just for the preseason, but potentially the first week or two as well). Any takers, PM me. Thanks!

Ok, I went ahead and activated the league. For some reason though, even user controlled teams have players on the trade block already though (ie. Seahawks and Patriots). Just nobody make ANY roster moves right now. Don't sign anybody. Don't release anybody. Just practice with your team, play your preseason game, etc. Just trying to give people something to do while we're waiting on the last batch of people to join the league.
 
Also, as mentioned, MAKE SURE EVERYONE GOES INTO THE SETTINGS AND TURNS OFF "FILL IN ROSTER". Even though I set this as "Off" when creating the league, apparently it still defaults to "On" for each individual user.
 
I've had problems with the CPU adding my players to the trade block. When I remove them manually they get added back the next week. It's really a pain in the ass.
 
okay so the deal with he3dk1lla if he is with dvo, are we waiting until they get back to do preseason games, or are we going to get subs or play the cpu because for my first preseason game im up against the ravens.

Well, we don't technically know what the deal with h3adkilla is. He's received two PM's, and I PM'd DVO as well to see if he knows his situation. Let's give him until tomorrow morning/afternoon for now before playing the CPU.

The only reason I say that is because there are still 9 people/teams unaccounted for. So, even if we get our week 1 preseason games done, we won't be able to advance to week 2 because any teams controlled by the CPU will sign all the free agents...which we thought we could avoid by having a full league. I know it's frustrating, but I guess at this point, we just have to try to be patient.
 
Just got done my game against the bucs and man did the game just keep kicking him while he was down. He would literally have 5-10 yard punts when the subs took place and then his backup receivers would drop everything.
 
So yeah...the bucs lol. We had a good clean game except for the whole 34-0 final score thing lol. I wanted to switch off stupid gameflow playcalling but didnt see where to do it. I have it set to "off" but for some reason in every game I play its still on, its frustrating as hell.

On a side note, I hate the preseason on this game. Putting in backup punters is the dumbest shit I've ever seen. My backup literally had a kick that didn't go past the line of scrimmage I shit you not lol. Good thing the preseason doesn't really matter. :lol:

I wish he was kidding, one of them legit could of hit a lineman if it wasn't so far to the left. And of course when i started running up to try and see if i could do something with them, he hit a booming 50 yarder.

Edit: the best part about it, is don't remember him actually returning it. I'm pretty sure he just hopped on it.
 
lol...wow. And people thought the replacement refs were bad. I think we need a replacement developer for EA. So many bugs that went unnoticed. At least people are getting started though. That's good to see. I did my first team practice. I didn't realize you only get to choose one of the options though, so I just did the first (and easiest) one. Oops. At least I won though, haha.
 
Found another "glitch". During a practice i was up by touchdown with 30 seconds left and i was receiving a kickoff. Just to be dumb and waste a couple extra seconds off, i caught the ball in the endzone and started running around for prolly 5-6 seconds and no time came off the clock. I also caught the kick off a bounce so idk if that affected it. I havn't tried it in game and i havn't noticed no time running off during kickoffs, it might just be a practice thing.

Ok, just got a response from h3adkilla saying he's not going to have time for the league. I appreciate him getting back to me. I'll PM Danimal and see if he's interested in taking the Ravens.

man online games are getting old i now have 4 lost because of connection or something dumb i was winning all 4 by a touchdown or more!! cant wait for the league!!!

You don't have it set to where you get an email when someone sends you a PM? That's always been a very helpful feature for me. It's really useful for setting up games in the league too.
 
The Cowboys are available for whoever is next in line to join. I don't want to back out of the league but I also don't want to inconvenience the rest of you guys due to my busy work schedule on weekends (Fri-Sun) every single weekend. it's only going to get worse due to the holidays coming since I work in retail.

Well, there's is no "next in line" anymore. Honestly, I'd rather have a human owner who is able to play some of the time (as long as he doesn't care when his games get CPU played or even simmed), as opposed to having a CPU owner that is going to screw up free agency and everything else for the rest of us. Really, it would inconvenience us more at this point if you dropped.
