CAGLS: Madden 13 Gentlemen's League - We Finished! Thanks for Playing!
I doubt you'll find someone who disagrees with that statement.
Meh, as a Panthers fan I kinda take offense to that, but not too much because he sort of is.

Anyway, Broncos vs Raiders battle it out tonight at 9pm!

Cam Newton is a dick after his rookie season his head got to big and now hes in the slump and became a whinny little bitch there is an article that his own father said his heads getting to big and his attitude is taking over. and i like cam newton until about 4 games into the year and he started acting like a cock. at one point i wish wishing he was a cowboy's player but atleast Romo sucks and doesnt bitch so i like him better now

Hey guys am gonna be out of town for thanksgiving today. I'll put my team on auto-pilot so ya'll and play the cpu. It's not like am gonna make the playsoffs. Well this yar atleast. ;) lol

Chargers fall again to the Steelers 21-14. Good game, Swift. My last three games have been crazy...unfortunately i'm 0-2-1. There were several fumbles on both sides...it was 14-14 with like a minute and a half left. Nobody is open so i'm waiting to see if someone will be able to. Right as I was going to throw the ball away I got sacked..fumbled the ball and he ran it back for a touchdown. Less then a minute to go and I threw a pick that sealed the game.

Browns defeat Chiefs 28-17. Great game. Chiefs threw a lot of defensive disguises at me. Forced Brady into two interceptions. I had to switch up my offensive gameplan and use my FB(one rushing touchdown), and my TE Ben Watson(over 100 yards on three huge catches and a TD). I haven't used either of those guys too much this season.

D'qwell Jackson's first game back and he led the team in tackles. Bowe and Baldwin had some huge catches where they just outjumped/bullied my corners, making me miss Joe Haden. Great game CoolIAm.
New England VS Texans kickoff soon.

New Englad number 1 D and 15th OFF
Texans number 15th D and 2nd OFF

should be a good one
Hana wasnt a good game at all! I was dominated! Pretty sure Sanchez's 17 interceptions were not to be outdone by CJ Spillers divine 1 yard per carry running efforts! Lol

GG man! Now just BEAT BLADE! Lol

well the hard part was seeing each others game plans. so replay games are always harder for one or both players.

P.S ill do my best to take out Blade for ya lol

of course I want my bro to do well but literally...ANY GAME WE PLAY...he beats me with the exception of freaking Virtua Tennis 09!! I own in that game!! HAHAH

BTw, does anyone else have Carcasonne?

And with my 31-7 loss to the Saints, so ends my run as coach of the Giants. I'll remain as GM and if you want to replace me with someone who will play the games Nate, that's fine. I'm tired of feeling like I'm scheduling a beatdown twice a week, and I'm not getting any better.

Yeah, but at least you know he remembered he's supposed to be there.
I am learning quickly in this league that the key to winning on offense is trying to find a pass\run balance.
Is that why you felt the need to pass the ball up 17 late in the 4th?
Is that why you felt the need to pass the ball up 17 late in the 4th?
Seriously?

I was keeping a balance of run\pass throughout the game. When it was the 2 minute warning - I only ran.

I had 17 passes and 15 runs. That's pretty balanced.

I have learned not to just play concertivately during the WHOLE 4th quarter just because you have a lead. It can and will bite you in the ass.

Yes seriously. You were up 17 with three minutes left and felt the need to run five wide shotgun several times. But sure, it's all about "balance".

Annnnd...that's not good enough. A 17 point lead in the 4th when your opponent has only scored 7 points all game should be enough to play conservatively. I'd need an example of the specific situation the passes came on. But in general, it's really not necessary...ESPECIALLY if it leads to more points being scored. This isn't a negotiable issue here.

And when it becomes the last straw for somebody's enjoyment of the league, you really have to ask what the point was. I'm tired of hammering on this point. If the people getting beat up on quit the league, it doesn't matter how many points you can score.

I ran a pass play and threw it 10 yards or so and broke a few tackles for a huge gain - then I got in the red zone and had one or two passes. After it hit the 2 minute warning I ran and got in the end zone. I am not sure what is wrong with that.

Look - I am sorry you're upset that you lost and you haven't been playing the way you would like, but that's no reason to pick a fight over nothing. I am not here to argue. In the other league I get killed constantly, and I've never went and picked a fight with anyone.

I didn't pass to score - my score came on a running play. He started figuring out my running plays and if i just ran 3 times and had a 3 and out he could have came back. It has happened to me before. Just because someone manages to only score once in 3 quarters doesn't mean they won't come back. Like I said - it's happened to me before.

I'd also not like to be blamed for this being his "last straw" considering it sounded like he has been thinking about quitting for awhile.

You're in the wrong here, Superstar. Sorry. There's no need to be throwing the ball with 3 minutes left and a 17 point lead (let alone going 5 wide as jza alleges). The "mixing it up" argument is a garbage cop out. Consider this a warning. Don't let it happen again.

the point is ur running up the score which isnt tolerated in either league. now i do agree with u that just running the ball can give the other team the advantage and isnt fair beucz if u dont have a great running game then u can be screwed with turnover on downs and let the other team back in the game but with 3 minutes left theres no reasoning why u couldnt run that clock down slowly and no need for the TD at all here with already leading by 17 points sounds like ur trying to gain extra XP

Doesn't make any sense. IF he starts to come back...and your lead shrinks, then you can play more aggressively again. If every team could just claim a fear of a "potential comeback", there would never be any concern about running up the score.

I haven't even used the XP in this league since I joined a few weeks ago - so I wouldn't run up anything for XP

I will take the warning and not do it next time - but There will be a time where I just run and get shut down and lose because of it. It has happened to me quite a bit.

He did. He drove down the field and scored a touch down - then I got the ball back and this is the area were talking about in the game.

snakemaster...30 fucking minutes late! Seriously...so fucking disrespectful. My wife and daughter are playing not 10 feet from me. And I'm sitting here staring at a fucking TV screen waiting for some dipshit to show up. Grow the fuck up and be a responsible adult. Thanks for wasting my time asshole.

Please. Don't make it sound like I was making a comeback. It was 24-7 with three plus minutes left and I chose to kick it off instead of going for the onside.

i do agree with the point that if ur a passing team and running doesnt work and u got the lead but want to keep there offense of the field then u should be able to do short passes to get the first down and help run the clock out but never should u ever take it to the end zone. in the official league i feel the same way when i have a lead and i have to pass teams slowly start to come back on me when i hav eto run becuz my team is more focused on the passing side of the ball

All right, this is a key point. If he's going for a serious comeback, he would have kicked an onside kick. This same issue came up earlier in the season (with me and doc). It's not acceptable. PERIOD. If you can't recognize when your opponent is giving up on the game, you're being a dick. Straighten the fuck up. I'm way too aggravated to sugar coat anything tonight.

I said I will take the warning and I wouldn't do it again - but I don't need that tone from you either. I won't be treated like a child. I am sorry if you're pissed off that someone didn't show up for your game - but that's not my fault. Get over it.

this is true because i have been winning by two scores before and lost. just ask DVO i have tried running down the clock up by two scores and he has come back to win twice vs me. but i do see were a 3 score lead is a little harder to defend throwing it.

Yeah, you said that after acting all defiant to start off. I'm just tired of having to teach people what "play right" means. I think the "fear of a comeback" argument is crap. If anybody actually starts making the game close...then start playing again. It's not that complex.

But a 24-0 lead...and a score to make it 24-7 with 3:00 left in the game just doesn't fit the bill...especially when the guy doesn't even go for an onside kick. This just seems like common sense stuff that people somehow constantly miss in here. I don't understand it.

I could have went on if you wanted to? I assumed you wanted the "argument" to stop - considering it wasn't going anywhere. I stand firm by my actions and I don't see them as wrong - but obviously since you run this league I have to go by your rules, and I agreed to do so.

Now it's just getting to the point where it's arguing for the sake of arguing.
Just a reminder I will be out of town until saturday. Sorry for missing my games I never really miss a game.
You most likely wont miss any games. The next deadline will most likely be 11/25 which would be Sunday. If you could get your game scheduled for Saturday or Sunday, you wouldnt have to miss it.
#Indeed great way to adjust ur gameplan hopefully we will meet up again in the playoffs..
Was that the Chiefs playbook you were using? I'll have to take a look at that.

That's the first time I've been completely confused as to what the defense was doing. I mean, I burnt you for a couple big pass plays but that was only after I made some major adjustments and the majority of the time I was completely lost as to what coverage was going to be played.

I've been shut down on offense by some of the better GMs in here but I've always been able to use a few go-to plays. You shut all those down on me.

I think it also had to do with the fact that you controlled a defensive back most of the game. You had a huge pick on a WR screen play when I thought you were playing zone. That hasn't happened to me all season and I use that play at least a couple times a game.
