CAGLS: Madden 13 Gentlemen's League - We Finished! Thanks for Playing!

I agree that using it twice in a game is not excessive or out of line, and also going for it in that situation was reasonable.

In regards to this auto thing, I had a game a little bit ago that was against someone on auto. He claimed it wouldn't let him into the game, that was until he figured out auto was on and he turned it off. Obviously idk what he was actually trying on his end but he claimed it was that way.

That's really weird. I could have sworn we've had people on auto who just ended up playing their games, and then when I looked at the user status, they were still on auto. I guess it could be something they did themselves, and it wouldn't surprise me at all for EA to just make it as irritating as possible, but damn.

I really wanted to win my last game of the season but the Raiders beat the Chargers 13-10. Good defensive battle on both sides. Flyersfan did a good job of shutting down my running game. I didn't do half bad at my passing but couldn't score. I had a chance to win with about a minute and half left but I couldn't get anything going and was stopped on downs. Good game.

I actually just remembered earlier in the season I asked you to pull one of the players off auto so he could actually play an you said that he could do it. We tried to play the game but couldn't because it would have been me playing te CPU and not him as he was on auto pilot. The update may have corrected that though

Well, either way, I'm about to eat dinner, then after that I'll try to get on and switch him to auto. I would say by 8 PM CST for sure you should be good to play.

Hey as an owner of the Arizona Cardinals obviously I am out of the playoff race, during the playoffs I'll try to keep up with the forum but obviously not as closely while I wait for the champion to be crowned. Would you guys have a general idea of when the Superbowl would be played, assuming its not delayed for any reason. That way I can at least make sure to check the site by then if I don't find time to before that.

Not a problem at all dude. I probably won't be able to get it played until around 9 or 930 at the earliest. So no worries.

just had an amzing game with the ravens
10-7

my only TD was a pick 6
this game was all defense all game
my offense had a total of 90 yards
his had about 150 yards total

While I haven't done the math to hash out an exact timeline for the playoffs, what I can do is just send out PM's to everybody to let them know when we're about to start offseason activities. That might be easier than trying to plan around the holidays and whatnot.

Yeah, pretty much a defensive struggle all game. Me throwing the pick 6 early came back to haunt me. i was just hoping I could get one of my own, but I couldn't return any of my 3 picks. Thought I had a shot at a punt return late, but couldn't finish the return.

I had your offense bottled up most of the game. Only time I wasn't able to come up with a stop was when I really needed it at the end. You had 20 yards on the Green-Ellis run that pretty much sealed the game. Only time my offense had anything going was at the end of the first half when I was going no huddle, but you called a timeout and killed my rhythm.

I just can't get anything going when it comes to passing in online games this year. I go over plays many times in practice against good defenses and pretty much perfect the play in practice, but then I get into an online game and nobody can ever get open. In the rare occasion somebody gets open, Flacco usually overthrows them or they drop the ball. Not sure what to do except more practice.

If anyone wants to practice with me in games outside the league, I would be more than happy to. Just add me on Xbox Live(KTrainThomas) and if you ever see me on, just send me a message. I feel like this could be a good way to stay sharp and hopefully improve since I will not be playing in the playoffs this year.
Looking forward to it.
Yeah, I'll send you a request as well. Do you have a mic and/or want to chat, or just scrim to see how people play?

I have a mic and wouldn't mind chatting. I just want to practice against a real opponent and not the CPU or a random person online. I would like to play by league rules, of course.

Oh yeah, of course. Just figured I'd ask.

That's a standing offer for everyone, by the way. If you see me online in madden and want to scrimmage, I'm totally game. Just shoot me a message.

anyone that is interested in making trade during the offseason plz contact me. im looking for WRs for dalton to throw to and yes foster will be moving somewhere this offseason. im either looking for WRs or picks but only top 10 picks are welcomed here. to everyone else in the playoffs good luck and may the best gentleman win

PLAYOFF PICTURE:
AFC:
1) Miami Dolphins (z) (16-0)
2) Tennessee Titans (y) (12-3)
3) Cleveland Browns (y) (10-6)
4) Kansas City Chiefs (y) (10-6)
5) New England Patriots (x) (13-3)
6) Houston Texans (9-7)

New York Jets (9-7)/Denver Broncos (9-7)/Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7)

EDIT: This is what should happen if Madden is not an idiot (thanks Doom!)

A head to head sweep is only applicable if one team lost to each of the others. So the 9-7 Texans lost to the Broncos and Jets, but didn't play the 9-7 Steelers. They would not be eliminated at the head to head stage And since Houston is 7-5 in conference, they'd have the next tiebreaker.

NFC:
1) Carolina Panthers (y) (13-3)
2) San Francisco 49ers (y) (12-4)
3) Chicago Bears (y) (12-4)
4) Washington Redskins (y) (9-6)
5) Atlanta Falcons (8-7)
6) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-8)

IN CONTENTION:
Minnesota Vikings (7-8)
Seattle Seahawks (6-8-1)
_____________

The Bucs play the Falcons this week, so if Tampa and Minnesota win all three would be 8-8, but Tampa would for sure be in, with tiebreakers over both teams. I believe Minnesota has the strength of victory tiebreaker over Atlanta. Seahawks only advance to the postseason with an Atlanta win (meaning Tampa Bay loses), a Minnesota loss, and a victory over St. Louis.

Play the CPU. I just haven't bothered booting him from the league because at least his lifeless corpse could be useful to us in being able to prevent the AI from making a ton of moves and screwing up our offseason.

Curious to know if the Rams beat Seattle, and Tampa and Minnesota both lose, do the Rams sneak in? I think that would only put me at 7-9 so I would have to win out on a ton of tie-breakers. Long shot!

"Everybody is always judging in this league, and I. Humpalot will be judged during the offseason."

This is my favorite tweet so far. I don't know who's coach this is, but I applaud you good sir.

Also, I am disappointed to see the Broncos just barely missed the playoffs. Next year when I have a real running back, I hope to do better. Seriously, I must have the best running duo in the league. With MaGahee at 750+ and Hillman at 900+. Obviously, I didn't match CJ3K.

I'm looking forward to a full season as the Rams as well. Bradford, for whatever reason, is pretty fun to play with. I don't even know what his attributes look like, but he seems to make some nice throws and his WR corp is pretty damn limited. Hopefully I can fix that up in the offseason.

If the 6th wild card spot is in play for a 7-9 team, the possible teams that could take it are Minnesota, St. Louis, New Orleans, and Dallas if they win this week. I'll look into the tiebreakers for that tomorrow, after the Atlanta game and hopefully after the Minnesota game.

I'd really hate to see the Falcons make the playoffs after they've disappeared for the last 4-6 weeks of the seasons, so you guys need to beat them out for that spot.

lol i honestly thought i would attract more attention with foster but i guess not :(

NVM: blockbuster in the making hope we can come to an agreement this will more than likely be the biggest offseason trade of this season

also i hope we get a new falcons owner sooner i would love to make a trade for a certain player on there team

Sounds good, I'll play tonight when I get home from work. Probably around 7-8 EST.

Is anyone able to post the complete standings? Trying to see where im looking at in the draft (obviously the playoff teams spots havent been determined)

There's a link to the league EA Sports page in the OP. Otherwise, I can work out a draft order for picks 1-20 once this week's games are finished.

By my figuring the draft order 1-20 should look like this:

1) Cardinals
2) Giants
3) Raiders
4) Ravens
5) Bills/Colts
6) Colts/Bills
7) Jags/Packers
8) Packers/Jags
9) Eaglers
10) Cowboys/Rams
11) Rams/Cowboys
12) Seahawks
13) Saints/Lions/Chargers
14) Saints/Lions/Chargers
15) Saints/Lions/Chargers
16) Bucs
17) Bengals
18) Falcons
19) Steelers/Texans/Jets/Broncos
20) Steelers/Texans/Jets/Broncos
21) Steelers/Texans/Jets/Broncos
22) Steelers/Texans/Jets/Broncos

Not sure what the tiebreakers are, but I'd imagine that both the Ravens and Seahawks, by virtue of having 1 fewer loss than the teams ahead of them but having the same winning percentage thanks to a tie, would have the lower pick.

Replace Texans with Broncos, Dark Rider. I'll work on something more concrete when this week is over but that's a good estimate of where people are drafting, thanks jza.
I somehow thought the Broncos were in the playoffs. My mistake.
No big deal. Thanks for making the list.

Also, I am not in the playoffs unless madden has some sort of messed up tie breakers. (They used to do alphabetical order. Yeah it was screwed up)

The Chicago Bears fall where many of the backseat power rankers wanted them to be all along: at the back end of the top 10. The Bears' offensive line is still bad, running game still inconsistent, but at least the defense made up for it by missing three tackles on Golden Tate's go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter. #brutal

found this on the nfl.com power ranking section thought it was funny becuz they had the hash tag lol

Trade Block:

DeAngelo Williams SPD 93 CAR 94 i relized i am not the running type didnt use him much.

Aaron Hernandez only willing to trade for WR.

right now im looking for a couple good WR for next season i like big WR 6'3 or bigger with good RTE and Release and deff catch so pm if intrested in either players.

lol that doesnt even top this trade bro this trade is so good and so even but its perfect for us both for wut we want ur going to have to do better than that

Vikings win 31-17 behind 259 yards rushing by Peterson. Seattle and the numerous 7-9 teams are officially eliminated.

Haha I just wanted to see what your gonna say. I probably have the most cap room. So I really don't need to trade am sure I'll get some good FA's this offseason.
