It's one thing for DVO to switch, being the last pick, but it really screws shit up if someone towards the front of the line wants to switch. Had Dallas been available, I would've taken them, as would have many others.

I told you after I sent that PM that I didn't want to cause any havoc in the league by switching so I would stay with who I chose. It has nothing to do with who it involves. Besides, bringing something up in the league thread that I went to you in private is quite a bitch move in itself. I really don't care who is aware of it, whether it's DVO or Sir CheapyD himself, I already held myself to it: if you choose a team then decide you don't want them, tough titty, you chose them. Unless someone wants to trade with him outright, then that's fine with me... but when we start playing musical chairs with all these different teams, it's just going to fustercluck everything.

I don't mind being Dallas, they were obviously on my list of teams that I wanted to play as, which is why I chose them, but the Raiders were also up there on my list. I chose Dallas though, so I'm sticking to that. You didn't have to "work anything out to keep us happy" because I had already told you that I was staying Dallas to prevent anymore BS [like this...].

I don't know where you're pulling all this "mind games" crap from. I'm just straight shooting, cowboy.

Edit: I have to add that all of this is really uncalled for, and already casts a dark shadow on this league. I hope nobody leaves because of it, because I'm really looking forward to getting my ass kicked.

Whatever. If you want to call trying to accommodate something that you both ASKED for a "bitch move", then you have your own hangups. Ultimately, it's beyond ridiculous that people had weeks to think about this and even had the audacity to rush others along, and yet were not ready or sure of their own decision. My official stance on this is that I no longer give a fuck. Play as the team you chose or get the fuck out (not directed at you...goes for everyone). I'm done talking about it.

Getting back to actual relevant matters, I think every 4 weeks progression would be fine. Once a season obviously puts all the improvement at the end of the year, but every week seems like it would cause too much fluctuation. At least every 4 weeks would allow players to build off of a hot streak. Thoughts?

Just to clarify, you tried to accommodate DVO after I had already stated "don't worry about it" [not an exact quote] and that I would play as Dallas. It's really not as big of a deal as it's been made it out to be.

Don't get me wrong Nate, I appreciate that you tried to make everyone happy -- I really do, but it feels like you're throwing it in my face after the fact that I said that I'd stay as Dallas, lol. That's why I responded defensively. I really don't need to explain myself (or do I?) but there you go.

I'd like to play the game a little before coming to judgment on settings and stuff. I know some of you have the early release, and that's cool -- we all appreciate the heads up on some issues we may be dealing with, but I'm not going to "vote" on anything until I see how things work for myself. ;)

Everything else settings-wise (outside of the Free Agents system) seems cool with me so far. If the FA system is kind of like a bidding war (somewhat reminiscent of an auction league?) that would be pretty cool, but I guess I won't know until Tuesday at 12:30am.

I'm probably not going to give a fuck either way as I'm normally pretty chill -- I just want to play the game and have fun, and not worry about all this political bullshit. Ya know?

Well, just in the interest of keeping everything on the up and up, I think all trades should be proposed in the thread first. It appears that the CPU demands pretty high prices for its players, but we still need to make sure that trades make sense (ie. I don't want somebody offering 3 years worth of rounds 4-7 draft picks to get a star player).

I just got in my Best Buy in store pickup preorder for Madden 13 (yay for just getting Gamer Zone unlocked recently and getting the $20 preorder credit and the $10 in store pickup credit), so I will go ahead and put in an entry for this league. I barely know how to play anyways, and mostly play just for fun, so this league seems like a good fit for me.

Out of curiosity, to get both bonus' all you had to do was pre-order online and pick it up with your reward zone card and it showed you were unlocked, therefore getting both? I have mine preordered in store but the extra 10 would be nice

i found another N8 hanging around the offical leagues waiting list only about 8 spots left in here or somewhere around there almost full. im keeping my eyes open over there in the offical leagues waiting list

No, there's no waiting list for teams. Considering all the roster moves and changes people will make, it would be best for everyone to stick with their original team. You should do fine with the Saints though. I had them last year, and their roster is very fun to play with. Sproles is rated even higher this year. Welcome to the league!

3rd rounder 2013 + 4th 2014 for Matt Flynn? Is that fair? Assuming the cpu accepts it that is.
 
Ugh...I finally got the Game Face feature to work, and as always, it's terrible. I don't know how it looks so great on the website and really looks like me. But in the game, it looks like complete shit. Madden makes my face look fat as hell no matter what I put my height and weight at. The hair also looks terrible. Really disappointed there.
 
ya well im in louisiana trust me when i say things can be worse i have 18-22 inches of rain heading my way. the fucking place the army will station a person FML

have u picked a start date for the league i was hoping sometime around the 11th-15th :) to let us get a good roster update and that way if i do go i wont miss to much and well i will prolly miss out on FA so that kinda sucks a fat one

Except of you use the gameface program, idk if you've tried it or not, it needs a pretty well lit straight on photo that's clear or it comes out messed up. From my expirience with the kinect, its kind of darker and a bit grainy.

If you say so. But I have used it in a room that was overlit in my opinion, it was clear but it still has that graininess IMO. Still easier to just use a camera phone like someone else said earlier, clearer picture as well.
 
N8 would have to answer that since the game is so different things may have changed main points. dont go for it on fourth when u know u shouldnt and dont try and glitch. thoughs are the usual dont be a douche rule. but as far as in depth rules like i said n8 will have to speak on that
