To be more precise, doujinshi is any unauthorized use of copyrighted materials in a fan-made production. It doesn't necessarily have to be hentai, nor does the original copyrighted work have to be Japanese in origin. I've seen plenty of non-sexual Harry Potter doujinshi in Japan. Japan has some really oddly-worded copyright laws that allow doujinshi to be produced without being considered illegal.

yea it is kinda average but enjoyed it for the most part

yea i remember seeing a ad for sailor moon and dragon ball z hentai and it had rei from Neon Genesis Evangelion in it....gotta love japan;)

lol, I think I saw that at Comic-Con once. It was called Dragonmoon X or something...

I've enjoyed a few animes, mostly the popular less japanesey ones, like Cowboy Bebop and Appleseed (Just because i'm a CG nut and i'll love anything made with cel-shading.

Oh, I wish you had said that in the first place. I thought you were just being a ignorant hater, but now I can understand and respect your viewpoint.

BTW, in case you haven't heard about it already, there's a new .hack movie called ".hack//G.U. Trilogy" in the works. It's all CG and is cel-shaded from what I've heard, sounds like it's right up your alley. Check out dothackers.net for trailers if interested, but go straight to the 2nd trailer, it blows the first out of the water.

I collect them too. Who was your favorite seller? Mine are still around and kicking, though there's one or two new ones that have cropped up recently with ridiculous prices.

Didn't get any gaming-related presents for Christmas (so far; my sister's present has yet to arrive and of course, I don't know what she got me), but I did pretty good this year, with some animation DVDs and books as well as other stuff.

I *was* buying from marblebooks before eBay made him stop selling lots of stuff. I'd end up getting most books for 10 or less shipped from japan which to me is a great deal since lots of places want 15+ before shipping then another 12 shipping. >_> I just ordered something from ransky and the price wasn't too bad compared to others. If ya have any good places let me know.
 
One I've been following for a long time is www.magicalgirl.com, though their selection is largely hit or miss these days. edwingoh sometimes has doujinshi for sale; I've gotten some good deals from him.

I recently added ishiishiishi3 to my fave seller list. Based in Japan so shipping is expensive, but they'll combine shipping for multiple books.

Oh, and here's one of the ridiculously-priced sellers I mentioned. Some of their BIN prices make me boggle.

Just Tomb Raider Anniversary ($4 after $37 EB credit I had for aeons) and a Wii points card ($15).

Sadly I won't get to play/use these. Giving these as CAG Child's Play prizes.
 
I got my package from shopgoodwill today. I made out fairly well I think, since I got a copy of Spyro: A New Beginning for PS2, along with a complete 2 disc copy of God Of War II, a copy of Sly 3(GH), Midnight Club Dub Edition and a GH copy of Destroy All Humans.

The only one that came complete was GOW II, the rest were missing manuals unfortunately. Most looked to be in decent shape though, which is weird considering 3 out of 5 had GS stickers on them.

Most of the PC games that came with the package were Windows 95/98, so that means I'm SOL to try and play them on my Win XP PC.

Ahhh well....for $34.34 I made out like a bandit imo.

My final acquisitions of 2007 were a couple of free NES games from a
collector friend who had multiple copies of both. Nothing too special though:

Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt (cart only)
Top Gun (cart only)

This puts me at three SMB/DH carts, but despite the game being extremely
common, I didn't have Top Gun.

I got all the original Xbox games because my fiance gave her family my list from 3 years ago. I already owned 4/6 of them, but they were redeemed when I found the 12 month XBL card hidden away behind the Rainbow Six 3 manual. I'm surprised no one at Gamestop noticed in the process of being traded in and sold.
