I got this idea while watching 24.. I am not sure how it will pan out, but i'm going to try it out and hope for the best.

Basically, what this is is a way to have established posters get to watch what they want. I don't know about you guys, but I find myself watching the set once then setting it aside. That being said, I thought i'd start a little 'club'.. a place where CAG's finest (those that have been here a while and/or have a good number of positive feedbacks in trades) could exchange box sets, watch, then return. Just post what you have, what you want, arrange a trade, and watch away.

Many questions have been asked about copying the DVD.. i'll just say this regarding it. While I don't support it, as long as my DVD's are returned in the condition they were sent off in, I don't care what you do with them.. what you do is your own business. Don't tell me about it and we'll be fine.

Here's my list..

Have:
Boy Meets World Season 2 (3 DVD's)
Saved By The Bell Seasons 1 & 2 (5 DVD's)
Friends Season 4 (4 DVD's)
Friends Season 5 (4 DVD's)
"Best Of" Friends Vol. 3 & 4 (2 DVD's)
Saved By The Bell: The College Years (3 DVD's)
Family Guy Season 1 & 2 (4 DVD's)
Family Guy Season 3 (3 DVD's)

Want to see:
CSI (Any season will do)
24 (Seasons 2 and 3)

Would anyone want to participate in this "club"? We're not trading away, we're just letting each other borrow it, watch it, then ship it back. If you want to include DVD's, that's fine too. I've got several 'specialty' DVD's.. meaning concerts and wrestling (ECW)..

If there's enough interest, i'll post a DVD list.. but I just think this might be an idea that could work out very nicely where we can all get to see what we want without having to pay a ton of money.

Oh, and if you ship off a set, make sure to remove the inserts.. saves confusion. I'm trusting you guys on this, which is why i'm making it for established posters/traders only. Guys like myself, Shrike, Cheapy, Defener, Punq, Led, every other mod, guys you know will pull through.
 
It sounds interesting...something I would recommend doing is...you're saying remove the inserts, but to save on shipping costs, it might not be a bad idea to just remove the discs from the casing, get a cheap DVD sleeve thing and ship it that way. Then you don't have to worry about the weight of the boxset and the bulky size as well. It'll save money for all involved. Just a thought.

Yeah, I suppose, as long as they're in a box with bubble wrapping and stuff around them, but i'd rather send the original case or maybe even jewel cases. That's a good idea. Jewel cases or something. I mentioned something about removing inserts because I didn't want anyone to lose anything.

plus no worried on the cardboard casing that most of these boxsets have...that usually get screwed up on the way home from the store, let alone from house to house through the mail


though this sounds like a great idea and all...i will not be participating in this for a # of reasons....i have so many box sets that everybody would be up my ass for them....im anal about my stuff....if i want something, i buy it rather then rent or borrow....and last but not least, i already have enough trouble letting my "bestfriends" borrow dvds/games....

im not trying to persuade anyone to follow my reasoning nor am i trying to shit on this idea....because it is a great idea, its just not for me personally
 
great idea. honestly, even though I myself am not l33t enough to get in on it, for those who can I'd say it's a great opportunity. Hope if works out.

It is a good idea, but like trustcompany...I have trouble lending my things out.

Me too.

But I'd definately consider it, if more people signed on, and had some of my wants. Just as long as they were trustworthy people, like scorch, mods, etc...
