You're correct, she was banned. In fact I remember some sort of huge argument erupting because of her, something about treating women with respect, or something to that effect.

As for increase of sucky users / increase of console war discussion. It's simple, too many people flocked over from gamfaqs, coupled with the fact that this generation of consoles are vastly different from the past two gens.

It's only been three years and I already miss the old days. :cry:

I liked the site better back then, but let's face it: change is inevitable. The site's user base is bound to grow, especially when there are things like the CAGCast that bring more attention to it than we'd get existing in our little corner of the Internet otherwise.

That said, we're still better than GameFAQs. ;)
 
Three I distinctly remember from the old days are Stoneface, metroidkiller9, and pimp daddy smurf. All gone.
