terrible performance here, overall as much as i anticipated a great return to servers i'm very dissapointed in the engine. With the poor performance comes a glitchy UI, terrible textures, and horrid sounds. The game just plain looks dated. Someone said they're still using the previous COD engine and it sure shows. Was kinda expecting MW2 Ops, so to speak.
Aiming is floaty again [w@w], shotguns are useless again due to a gimped range [MW2 spaz was a sniper rifle compared to these offerings], no silencers for MGs, no calling out enemy down or frag out [something i took for granted] and the sound, i was hoping it would change but its back to world at wars underwater effect unless the action is right in front of you. I'd say they reused just about every sound effect from world at war as well. The worst is the textures and models, it literally looks like a game from 2007...because it is, and launching with all the performance issues. I feel ripped off [$60!] especially with no resale value [steam acct]. Aside from server, its a definite downgrade. If they simply took the maps, servers, and new leveling system over to MW2 i'd be far, far, more happy with the final product.
They sure as hell wont be getting another dime from me for their DLC.
Heres hoping they get the crap performance issues fixed in a timely manner, until then i wont be playing much or starting the single player campaign. My comp can barely handle medium settings without choking while it ran world at war and mw2 on high fine. I HATE when companies try to pack in all sorts of crap into ancient engines, it always seems to lead to these types of issues like the outdated tech is simply not streamlined for modern hardware.
