Call of Duty: World at War for $39.99 new at Gamestop

Another price drop, possibly? I've been meaning to pick this one up just to play with a couple of my friends, I've just missed all the right opportunities to pick it up.

It looks like it. It didn't seem to be on sale or anything.... Then again, it was still $60 everywhere else I looked, except for Costco ($53) and Amazon($56).
pfft.. waw is a shameless ripoff of cod4.
Umm... it's Call of Duty? That's like saying Grand Theft Auto IV is a ripoff of Grand Theft Auto 3. Duh.

Anyway, W@W improves so much on CoD4, and actually fixed a lot of the bugs and issues a lot of us had with CoD4.

Thanks OP! Like a few others, I keep missing the opportunity to pick this up at a lower price. Is this the sign of a price drop b/c Modern Warfare 2 was shown at E3?

Nice, PS3 version dropped too! Thanks OP, will definitely pick this up.

Wii version is still $50 though.
Too bad it wasn't the price best buy had it for back in December for 35 bucks.
I bought it back then on that deal, and sold it because no-one on my friends list ended up getting into it. Now it seems all my friends are hooked on the Zombie mode (in the past 3-4 weeks) and of course I couldn't find a deal on it... until now. Thanks OP.

i been meaning to give waw a try.. everyone i know says it sucks compared to cod4, but you gotta take into consideration that they are more than likely spoiled by the modern weapons etc and soo many people think WWII is played out.. the only thing played out imo is crappy games lol..

for me its either pick this up on PC or ps3... hmmm

Not quite. GTA IV was developed by the same company as GTA 3. Not so with W@W (Treyarch) and CoD4 (Infinity Ward). That said, it's nice to see a price drop, if this is in fact one.

Don't listen to all of these WaW haters. It's a great game and fixes alot of issues in the multiplayer that CoD4 had. Not to mention it has co-op campaign and nazi zombie.

...or even the price k-mart had it for a while ago...30 BUCKS!!!!! Jumped on that like a monkey to a cupcake! \\:D/

LOL @ 4 being $10 more than 5.

Both games are great. I rebought 4 just when the price dropped to $50 and was surprised to see it had went back to full price again when I had starting looking for it.

This game has great multi-player. Everyone on COD4 left and joined up with World at War. And eventually they will leave to go to Modern Warfare 2, so keep that in mind - but that will give you a good 5 months of online play with a large community guaranteed. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah I'm not understanding the W@W hate other than the lackluster campaign (Except that sniper mission, pure awesome) It took the multiplayer and improved on it except the fact it's the same 20 guns we've been shooting since Medal of Honor.

Yep doesn't look like a deal at all, unless compared to the higher price elsewhere of course, I am still going to wait it out until the next price drop.

It is a Price Drop.

If you do a search for "Call of Duty :World at War" it clearly says $39.99 after $20 Price Drop.

Glad that I got rid of mine last week. The price drop is going to kill the Resale/Trade-In Values
