I need helping finding a laptop and I have no idea what's what in the computer world.

The only real thing I would like to get out of the laptop is at LEAST 4gb ram and 2.0ghz processor but I would love to get say 6-8gb and 2.4 and up

My budget is up to about 800$ which I know is low but I can't justify spending more when all Ill be using it for is school(word/PowerPoint), Netflix, Internet, music, and video editing which is where the above requirements come in

I'd like to stay with asus, hp or lenovo unless y'all got better suggestions

$800 is PLENTY for a laptop if you don't want something with a graphics card, and don't care about how thin and light it is. Other things to consider are screen size and resolution.

Here's a couple really good deals in the $300-400 range:

I'd recommend getting something with a Core i5, but a Core i3 might be fine too. For $800, you can get an ultrabook with a Core i5 processor, touch screen and an SSD, those deals pop up pretty frequently. Here's an example, although I don't recommend this one really:

I have the 15 inch model with a 630M, and I liked it when I got it a year ago, but now it's almost useless, since I built a desktop for gaming. I just sent it in for repair because the hard drive crashed, but that isn't really the problem. It's a tweener in today's market, not thin and light like ultrabooks, but not nearly as powerful as the Lenovo Y410 found here for a cheaper price:

If it's your only computer, then it's a pretty good pick, although I think that price is rotten for what you're getting. It has a nice keyboard, touchpad, and speakers, and a stylish body that feels well made. I wish I had gotten an ultrabook since I now have a gaming desktop, but you probably won't be in that same position anytime soon.
