hi,
I have a 120 gig hard drive on my 360. If I buy a cheap usb hard drive can I install games to it? My 120 gig is full and I'd like to have something larger.
I read something about external drives only being used for music and movie storage. :( Is that right?

thanks

You can store anything on it, though there's a 16 GB limit for external USB devices.

I have all of my XBLA games and saves on an external hard drive with my retail game stuff on the main hard drive.

Also remember any retail game you install MUST still have the correct disc in the drive to play. Can't just rip it and get rid of the disk.

I have my saves in the HDD and my xbla games in the external drive.

The game will start by force from the external drive even though the save is in the HDD. I just choose my HDD drive when i load the game and the game starts.
It doesnt matter where the game is located as long as you choose the drive where the save is.

I saved a lot of space...and i have a 20 HDD

Also OP
Put all your DLC in the external drive. it works just like the XBLA games.
