Can I get the XBLA deal of the week with a 48 hour code?

Here's the deal. I have a gold sub for my main account. When my console died and I got a new one under warranty, MS refunded me the points value of my games (this was pre-license transfer tool). And since I always have a little balance, I keep putting points into that account.

So I want to buy N+ this week for the reduced price, and I have someone who will be giving me a 48 hour code later. What I want to know is, can I apply that code to the silver account with my MS Points and have access to the reduce price for those 48 hours?

If you can't get the deal with Silver, then no, that won't work. A 48 hour code only gives you access to multiplayer. It doesn't give you any of the other Gold benefits.
