I never trade in games at EB, but I heard about a deal where they will give $10 bonus trade in value on 2 games and I have a bunch of junk PS2 games that sell for around $5.99 on their site like:
Driven
Dark Angel
X Squad
Mad Trix
Victorious Boxers
X Games Skateboarding
and more

Does anyone know what is the usual trade iun value for these games? Also does anyone have the link to where the trade in deal is explained?
Finally, check out my huge trade list below.

Thanks Again Guys

Yeah, that's about right. They usually give $2-$1 for $10 games, so that's close to what they'll give for $6 games.

By the way, you'd get less for X-Squad, since they sell it for $3.99 used.

Here is what I got/price they sell for
Rumble Racing: $2.00/9.99
Blowout: $.50/4.99
Extermination: $.50/5.99
State of Emergency: $.50/5.99
Dark Angel: $.75/5.99
Mission Impossible 2: $1.00/7.99
Rougue Ops: $.75/5.99
Driving Type S: $.75/5.99
SSX: $.50/4.99
Tiger PGA 2001: $.50/3.99
Surfing H30: $.50/4.99
Victorious Boxers: $75/5.99

So it looks like:
$.50 for games under $5.99
$.75 for games $5.99
$1.00 for games $7.99
$2.00 for games $9.99

Completly worthless except for with the $10 bonus.

At 25-50 cents trade-in value per game, it's simply not worth it to trade in a lot of old games. You're better off donating them to a charity or simply giving them away. Don't give EB a 500% mark-up profit just because you wanted to get rid of something. You'll only encourage them to shortchange you on future trades as well.

Although you didn't mention it, you didn't take those prices, did you?

Hope not, since you would've been bending over for EB with those prices. you're better off like mentioned above, donating them or selling them online.

EB games wanted to give me $1 for a trade in for a game they were selling for $5.99. That was for in store credit but if I wanted cash...they were going to give me .25 cents..

So I went to Gamecrazy and got $8 for it (in store credit). So you may want to check Gamecrazy too.

Worthless? With the $5 bonus credit your pretty much making what they re-sell the games for. In the case of SSX, your ripping them off.

First of all, I don't give a damn what their mark up is on the games I trade in, because if they mark them up too much, they just won't sell, and smart buyers like us know how to take a big chunk out of the markup by using coupons and codes. And, we are not discussing $.50-$1.00 for 2 games, we are discussing their current promotion which would give $10.50-$11.00 for those same 2 games. If you can't sell them elsewhere for more (after fees and such), then it is a good deal, and pretty convenient for most people. Try to get more than $5 (after fees)for a used Dark Angel on half.com or eBay, it isn't likely to happen.

Ok, no one is suggesting buying the games from EB to trade them back to EB. These are games that the posters already had lying around gathering dust. If they were suggesting going to the trouble of buying them just to trade them in, then your comment would make more sense.

And, Scahom1: I think it was just a simple misunderstanding of intent, no need for name-calling.

Some people are planning to take advantage of the buy 2 get 1 free deal and then trade the games back in.

heck, I had 3 cheap games from TRU sale and a demo disk and made $12 profit in trade in credit. Nobody would've wanted these games especially for $5 so trading with EB was a great deal.

Genius, I know there is no tax on trade-ins (in certain states). If you BUY 11.99 worth of used games they chare YOU tax.

P.S. Some states DO give you tax on trade-ins MORON
