[Canada] Amazon.ca: 12+1 Xbox Live Gold Subscription - $47.99 before coupon

Damnnnn, I just ordered one from FS when I got my boxing sale 360. I haven't used the XBL Gold card yet, would I be able to return it and grab this deal instead? Or are FS online orders final sale? Would rather save the ~$20.

You can return it to the store, you will be out the shipping cost.

You need the Electronic Invoice which you can print from your order history

make sure that you bought the 12+1 month card instead of the plain 12 month card or you won't be able to return the amazon card to FS
 
I would say 'yes'. Try and take it back to the brick and mortar store closest to you if it is unopened and they should give you a refund OR better yet, take in a printed copy of the Amazon ad and use their price match guarantee...you have up to 30 days to price match a previous purchase...they will give you the difference + a % of the difference.
 
@Firestorm: I was thinking that when (and if) gamer602 becomes a mod, we should just have a sticky for the amazon.ca coupon. It must be pretty annoying to type it out each time. It's also surprising the amount of folks who don't know about it.

Hrm... this code still works? I thought it expired Dec. 31.2008 It's even off the Visa Perks Website. Weird but great! I've been impulse buying off amazon for a while now. Can't beat deals like the 31.99 Fable 2/GOW2 Boxing Day deal with this code!

That's a good idea, I'll head to the store tomorrow to see if they're willing to price match. The only question I have though is I've recently changed credit cards since purchasing the XBL Gold card, is that going to make a difference at all since the card I did purchase it on is no longer?

Since Amazon is probably considered a "web based" company, would this rule out the FS price matching idea? The post was from late 2007 but does anyone know if this FS policy still in effect? Also, considering the Amazon XBL deal is eligible for free shipping, I would have to add the "next day shipping" to the total cost of the Amazon XBL card? For the possible hassle of it, it might just be worth it to just return my current 12+1 XBL card and order this Amazon deal.

I have used the price match guarantee with Amazon.ca at Future Shop at least twice in the past.

In my opinion, if you are buying ONLINE from Future Shop, the least they should do is also price match another respected Canadian online site like Amazon.
 
Just an update that I just got back from FS and they price matched 110% to Amazon without any problem. Was a nice surprise. Thanks for the heads up and suggestion to do the price matching, it worked great!
 
Awesome :) I should have done the same and just gone into FS myself .. but I have been too lazy lately and have been ordering most things online if shipping is free.
 
If you read the fine print at the bottom of the weekly ad...it states that FS/BB matches CANADIAN ONLINE RETAILERS!

Woot...end of the stupid excuses the retail monkeys comes up with! WOOT!
